Cody, I’ve been disabled and using mobility aids since birth and I kind teared up when you told the story where your first thought was “I could never do that”. I feel like I think that at least 100 times a day. But something in me finally clicked. I got up and I stretched for the remainder of the video. It’s such a small thing but I CAN do that. And I’m gonna keep doing it. And idk maybe I’ll do something this year I thought I’d never be able to do-maybe not a marathon or an iron man, but maybe walking my block without stopping, or maybe riding a stationary bike for a full minute. It’s seems pitiful writing it down but I’m really actually hopeful! Anyways thanks for this channel and for being so vulnerable, and for including the emotional journey as well as physical.

No surgeries here, but have had a long recovery from injury. Stick with it. Long time runner here. At the beginning it took me like an hour to walk around the block. 6 months later I ran a 35min 5k and then 4 months later 21:46! Huge improvement with the dedication, but certainly not fast or easy. Keep getting after it!

people genuinely celebrating eachothers achievements without any sarcasm is so pure and amazing. I'm glad you can do that on this channel. Being real with slight irony thrown in every once in a while and not constantly is needed among creators more and you doing that here is great

I know everyone has been saying it but I wanna add on - I just emerged from an eight month depressive episode that absolutely kicked my ass and now eight months later I'm feeling so much better and I've started looking forward to going out and moving, wether its yoga or the gym or a run, and every time I think of you and how insanely far you've gotten so like, why not me too? I gained a fair amount of weight and its just brought my energy and self esteem way down. In that time I found this channel and have kept up with it as a fan of your other stuff and as a cycling fan. I kept saying Ill get back on the bike and kept feeding myself all these excuses until last Thursday I said fuck it and went for it. I felt like my legs were gonna explode and my gooch was gonna bleed but it felt fucking amazing. Im gonna to try my hardest to make this a habit again and ACTUALLY get back on the bike.

Started running consistently for the first time since quitting sports a couple years ago. Unfortunately in the hospital now and currently struggling to breathe after suffering from a large spontaneous pneumothorax, or a completely collapsed right lung. But I’m here after - in only a couple weeks - knocking off over a minute off my pace for a two mile run, the new longest run id ever completed when I started. It really sucks to be setback this far after just starting as I have to undergo another surgery for my left lung in a couple months. But I’m itching to get back into training and signing up for my first 5k thanks to the motivation I’ve gotten from my college roommates and this channel. Much love
