How do they talk so easily while running it never ceases to amaze me
@foreverbored25017 ай бұрын
They ran at 9min/mile avg pace. At that pace even moderately athletic people can run while talking (it's more like jogging). When running long distances like they did what kills you is the actual physical fatigue of your body, more specifically your legs. That's why they're able to have conversations.

Hey Cody. My mom's been a marathon runner for as long as I can remember, and I always saw running as something out of the realm of possibility for me. I stumbled upon your ultramarathon video in June, and I remember you describing being surprised at how dismissive you were at the idea that you could achieve something like running an ultramarathon. I completely resonated with that, and that video inspired me to rethink that self-doubt and register for a 5k. Since then, I've been keeping up with Cody Trains and running alongside you, embracing the highs and lows just as you do. Fast forward 4 months later and after lots of hard work, discipline, failure, and success, I finished my first ever marathon right beside my mom yesterday, doing what I thought only four months ago was impossible. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

A few weeks ago I had spinal fusion surgery and had to re learn how to walk again. Cody’s training videos have been so inspiring and have encouraged me to push myself and walk a little bit further everyday. 3 weeks ago I couldn’t even stand and today I walked 2km! Whenever I need a boost of motivation to get me out of bed I re watch one of Cody’s training videos and it reminds me that even though there’s a long way to go, I can do it. I love Cody’s channel bc he’s so chill about being an athlete. I am in my senior year of HS and just started train for my first Ironman. I’m an awful runner, an ok cyclist and a pretty good swimmer. I just signed up on a whim. The first time i went on a run I ran 10 miles (superrrrr slow) but thought process was just if I can swim for 2hrs I can run for two hours. I did it and thought it wasn’t too bad so I signed up. Staying active doesn’t have to be you’re whole life. Just get out there and do it! I always feel so proud when I finish a run! sometimes even more than a swim

Cody Trains is sooo motivational because of how real it is. A lot of workout videos nowadays half the videos the creator is trying to sell you on the newest most expensive gym stuff. Cody is showing us the highs and lows of his experience and it makes people feel better because we are just humans and we can't be perfect 24/7. As someone that is on the Cody Ko reddit I have never seen so many people change their lives for the better because of a channel, including my own. Also the Cody Trains community is so supportive and motivating to each other it's kind of hard not to love it. We love the content and realness of your journey Cody 🩷!

For years I believed that I simply was not built to be a runner. I started training in March and finished the Chicago Marathon this past weekend under 6 hours. I signed up because I felt like I was in a place in my life where I needed to do something really hard and show up for myself. I can't believe I did it but at the same time, I am not shocked that I did it because I was the only one with there every training run for the last 7 months. Would recommend using Gatorade for long runs over water. Especially over such long time periods you lose electrolytes through sweat and Gatorade does a good job of keeping those levels up where water only dilutes them (the sugar gives you a nice energy boost too). Also it’s recommended to bring something to drink on runs over an hour for your kidneys sake.

Our bodies lose so much water when running long distances so its important to hydrate as you go. I'll always make sure my water has LMNT in it too, cause the amount of electrolytes you lose when sweating is insane.
