Hi everyone, and welcome to a new episode of #itsjustfeminism
Today, we're going on a back-to-school field trip to the Women's Archive located in Canada's Capital. We're meeting with Marina, the Head of the Archive to take us around, and answer some questions on how the archive works and what is it's purpose.
Archives hold historical records in general, but special collection's such as the ones related to the feminist movement, stand as a testiment of decades of resiliance and hope. Archives like these can offer useful material for analysis to researchers in many fields of science that will help uncover the hidden stories before they disappear entirely. How poetic! Very demure, very mindful!
I personally find archives to be very inspiring spaces full of mysterious possibilites for future research so this was an incredible opportunity. I'm beyond grateful for Marina who agreed to open the doors of the Archive to the It's just feminism community!
more about Marina in her own words:
