2017 BMW S1000RR First Ride

After riding a handful of 2020+ S1000RR's, I am finally able to check out an older model! Now I am not the biggest fan of the looks of the older generation but the way it rides and smoothness is unchanged. BMW just knows how to engineer a smooth yet powerful bike!

@mariz290 no I think the hp4 is raw I think the gen 3 correct me if I'm wrong but 15 through 19 were the best s1000s still to this day the new ones got a sweet display and alot of nice stuff but 15 through 19 is goated

@@RIDINGWITHRALPH thanks for your answer bro I appreciate it. What you said made sense since I noticed the '15 to '19 are still pretty pricey where I am from and I noticed the '20 is relatively cheaper compared to those older models and I couldn't figure out why that was but now I do

@mariz290 when the first switched the 20s 21s were blowing engines and the opposite front headlights was a staple they don't make em no more they could have done it it with the new bikes but they didnt

I’ll always be an older S1k fan.😌 Just like the HP4 race is & always will be my absolute favorite bike.😩 Don’t get me wrong, the new ones are DOPE & SUPER SEXY, but the older body style just looks better to me. Plus the 2020 tail section looks better than the current date s1k’s/m1k’s. :Fun fact: these older S1k’s only have the shark gill’s on the right side & not the left side. Which idk they did that, cause they give the bike that “mean” look, I believe lol..

@@itsmeericb Very 50/50 indeed. The HP4 race tuned & “modded” is still out here hanging with the new gen 1000’s on the street. It’s an absolute BEATS!! & yeah man, I didn’t know until about 2yrs ago, & I was just as shocked as you are.😂 Lol the more you know I guess. Great vid bro, keep killin it!💪🏽🫱🏽‍🫲🏻🔥

I think you be fine. You started on a 400 and gained some confidence riding. The S1k is smooth and has a ton of rider aids.

Naw.. the bike is simple, get on amd play. I have the 17, 10 thou mile all mine. And it get better I get nervous something is wrong because it is so smooth.. Only thing is the clutch is sloppy always. It tries to raise up on 6 at 100. 4rth is really fun u can get up to 80 no red. Ddc at 1 is in the rear and front is almost to hard. But it rode like a 5 series
