This is going to sound crazy, but this video actually made me realize just how much I hate some of GGG's poor design decisions. I just kept going on in the vain hope that they would actually fix some of these things, coupled with the skinner box of league challenges and cosmetic rewards I don't actually care about. The thought of another league of tedious unlocks just to reach an endgame mired in entirely solvable problems... why should I bother when I can just play a game that is actually good? The biggest issue for me is unfair deaths. I don't care too much if I died amd I know why I died. I care if I died to something unknown and with it are the following associated issues: - screen clutter and not being able to see what is hitting you (I don't think this will ever be solved) - accidental misclicks of screens or appearance of menus that block your vision mid combat. i.e. prophecy activation or accidentally clicking the completed ritual shrine. - boss invulnerability phases where only they can damage you and making it almost impossible to dodge their attacks. eg. Reef boss

That being said, there should be a better way to pick the shards anyways. And even then with harvest and uncharted realms, are the others shards not really worth it?

The 3rd party "problem" is actually on point. I don't really see the issue with using 3rd party tools, it just means we have a bigger community helping with QoL, rather than waiting for GGG to implement them. And since Openarl disappeared into the void, the forked PoB has been SO much better with updates and fixes. Also, that Ziggy impression was spot on.

I'd argue aside from performance Visual clutter is PoE's biggest problem, a personal complaint of mine would also be just general content clutter. I can see how others prioritize things like trade though. I'm just afraid if GGG don't address Visual clutter its only gonna get worse.

I have the perfect idea for Flasks. Instead of macking them consume charges and be active for a certain amount, just let them drain a certain amount of charges per second. So when you start a map, you activate your flask once, and as long as you kill monsters and generate charges, your flasks will be active. For boss fights and other more difficult encounters, you could just give them the functionality that you can activate them again and for the rest of their duration, you will get a stronger flask effect, but will be unable to generate any charges. GGG Could do so much interesting stuff with flask and flask charges, but i think they just have no current interest in changing any of it. Sadge

There is a great solution for picking up the milion items of same type on ground. For example if u have many of same type of item near u, like 15 simulacrum splinters spread, when u click to pick up 1 it will pick up all same type items in xx radius of you. This could be applyed for all currency items, splinters and whatnot.

Serious solution for the 6 second timer: you should be able to turn on metrics on your client that tune it. Calculate your latency distribution and set it to whatever quantile corresponds to the magic 6 second number on a typical connection. Maybe it's 99.999 or something, which would correspond to only 2 seconds on a super consistent connection.

For the splinters looting and flask management keybind, i don't even understand...on the chinese server, if i'm correct, there is the option for flask keybind, and they even got "paytowin" compagnon pet that gather loot for you. i undertand GGG is run by tensent (or whatever) but why chinese should have more QOL than the rest of us ? i would gladly pay for a currency gathering compagnon :D

3d problem is visuals and speed. Looking at the screen while actually playing is a pain with almost no benefits. You do not even see you character, hardly any monsters - itt's all explosions and who knows what.. And you spend most of the time crafting, trading, watching videos, using 6-7 additional apps and websites and then you enter a map for 65 seconds (unless the boss has an idiotic delay that is called "mechanics" and is neither fun, nor make any sense to watch). What is poe actually? Not an ARPG, nope, Packman takes longer.

Closed Beta supporter here. I gave up on this game last year, largely because of the tone-deafness of the devs wrt the issues raised here and also the not-so-ethical MTXs which are freshly added each league. So while I love funny videos like this, many years of personal experience suggest to me that the response will remain as tone-deaf as it has always been. Your better option might be to look at other games and to make sure they respect your time more than this one does.
