People seem to have bad memory. In 2009, Bollywood composer Ismail Darbar said the SAME thing as Ram Gopal Varma (though he did not name the person which the latter did now)! They all dismissed him as "jealous". Now what?! What Sukhwinder Singh said after that, is called "damage control". The so-called composer was in soup 3 times before this: 1. 2018 - Malayalam composer Ouseppachan almost sued him for using his composition in Kaatru VeLiyidai; his mother bailed him out! 2. 2009 - Ismail Darbar 3. 2023 - Hindustani musician's family claiming for the ownership of PS-2 song! Though there is nothing "wrong" with what he does (aping the West), he cannot be called a COMPOSER like Maestro Ilayaraja who is the EXCEPTION even in the Indian music industry which has very few original composers. For example, KVM tuned while Pugazhendhi orchestrated. Same with MSV-TKR and later Joseph Krishna filling in. RDB had a team, and then there were duo composers where one did something and the other something else! Now, there are 2-6 different names for a single album! The anchor is more worried about "subscribers" than facts! So, what Ram Gopal Varma said is NOT surprising at all! Many musicians/singers have mentioned subtly / directly on how their inputs were put together to "compile" a song. Whereas, even those who worked with other music directors clearly mentioned that "ILAYARAJA is DIFFERENT" and always revere him / applaud him immensely! Blasco (who worked with RDB), Uttam Singh (who arranged for several music directors) - all HAIL ILAYARAJA as THE incomparable genius.

திரு ராஜகம்பீரம், this is a worst comparison. ராஜா, ரகுமான், தேவா compare பன்னுவதை விடுங்க. ராஜா வந்த காலம் 70கள். அந்த காலகட்டத்தில் இந்தி பாடல்கள் தான் பிரபலமாக இருந்தன. ராஜா சார்தான் தமிழ் பாடல்களை கேட்க வைத்தார். தான் கிராமத்தில் கேட்டு வளர்ந்த நாட்டுப்புற பாடல்களின் மெட்டில் சில பாடல்களை experimental முறையில் இசையமைத்தார். ஒரு கும்மிபாட்டை காதல் பாட்டாக மாற்றி மக்களுக்கு கொடுத்தார். ஆயிரம் தாமரை மொட்டுக்களே. ஒரு club dance பாடலுக்கு உரிமி மேளம் சேர்த்திருப்பார். படம் 'ஒரு கைதியின் டைரி', பாடல் 'இது ரோசாப்பூவு'. இன்னும் நிறைய இருக்கு சார். நமது பாரம்பரிய இசைக்கருவிகளை பாடல்களில் பயன்படுத்தினார். ராஜா செய்ததைத்தான் ரகுமான் செய்தார் என்று தேவையில்லாத ஒப்பீடு செய்யாதீங்க. ரகுமான் பாடல்களை நீங்களே போய் மறுபடியும் கேளுங்க. நிறைய பாடல்கள் பழைய பாடல்களின் சாயலில்தான் இருக்கும்.

AR Rehman took his music world wide, (promoted like corporate) but Ilayaraja brought the world to India, ARR is an second generation musician (his father Mr sekear is an music director who worked more than 25 films in Molly wood and also worked as assistant musician for more than 200 films) but our raja is son of soil who daringly ignored gaana genres also clubhouse gimmicks to sustain his individuality. . So just ask a layman who is Ilayaraja.. Even they could define our black gold. 🎉🎉❤❤❤

AR fans, accept the truth. We already know that AR is just a brand name that was promoted by the Brahmins KB, Manirathnam and Shankar. The truth is coming out. I feels sorry for his fans who have been listening to his driver's tunes 😂 If AR wants, he can file a case against RGV for defamation. He won't do it 😂 In the industry everyone knows that AR outsources most of his work to people like Ranjith Barod or Praveen Mani. AR is not one person, but a team.

நான் Australiaவில் வாழும் ஈழத்தமிழன், நான் எனது ஊரில் சங்கீதமும் பாடசாலையில் படித்திருக்கின்றேன், தமிழ் பாடல்களை விரும்பிகேட்பவன், KV மகாதேவன், விஸ்வநாதன், இளையராஜா போன்றோருக்கு முன்னர் இசையமைத்தவர்களின் பாடல்களையும் கேட்டு ரசிப்பவன், SPB, Kj Jesuthas போன்றோர்களின் பாடல்களை மட்டுமல்ல, ஐயா சீர்காழி கோவிந்த ராஐன், TMS, அவர்களுக்கு முற்பட்ட பாடல்களையும் கேட்டு ரசிப்பவன், மேலும் இன்றைய பாடகர்களான கரிகரன் உட்பட பலர் பாடல்களயும் கேட்பவன் . அவ்வாறாகவே ஆங்கிலப்பாடல்களையும் கேட்டு ரசிப்பவன். அதுமட்டுமல்ல அவ்வப்போது வியட்னாம், சீனர்கள், அரபுகாறர்கள், French, கிந்தி, மலையாளப் பாடல்களையும் கேட்டு ரசிப்பவன். அதன் அடிப்படையில் சொல்கின்றேன், இளையராஜா போன்ற சிறந்த இசையமைப்பாளன் இந்த உலகத்தில் அவருக்கு முன்னரும் இல்லை அவரது காலத்திலும் இல்லை, இனிவரும் காலங்களிலும் இல்லை. இதற்கான காரணம் அவர் மனித உணர்வுகளையே பாடல்களாக உருவாக்கினார், அவருக்கு தமிழில் நல்ல ஆற்றல் இருப்பதனால் அவரது பாடல்களை வேறு கவிஞர்கள் எழுதினாலும் இளையராஜா அவர்களின் எண்ணத்திலேயே கவிஞர்களின் கவிதை வரிகள் உருவாகியவை. தமிழில் இசையமைத்த வேறு எந்த இசையப்பாளர்களுக்கும் இந்த ஆற்றல் இருந்திருக்கவில்லை, இவ்வாறான ஆற்றல்கள் ரகுமானுக்கு இல்லை, இளையராஜா அவர்களின் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு இல்லை மற்றும் ஏனைய தமிழ் இசையமைப்பாளர்களுக்கும் இல்லை. ரகுமான் பாடல்களின் இசை சீனா, வியற்னாம் காறர்களின் இசை போன்றது, சீனர்கள், வியற்றனாம் காறர்களின் இசையை கொப்பி அடித்து ரகுமான் இசையமைக்கின்றார் என்ற எண்ணம் என் மனதில் அடிக்கடி தோன்றுகின்றது, அவரது பாடல்கள் தமிழர்களின் மனித உணர்வுகளை பிரதிபலிப்பதில்லை அதனால் அவருடைய பாடல்கள் நீண்டகாலம் நின்றுபிடிப்பதில்லை. In the end, music should give you peace. Whether it is composed by Raja or TR. I don't need the information about how quickly it was composed or whether the MD wrote the notes by himself. Even a small flute based theme in Premalu appealed to me and I've been listening to those tracks along with GOAT LIFE OST these days. What Mr. RGV is saying. The song Jai Ho Not Composed By ARR and it is Composed by Sukwinder and endorsed released in The name of ARR. sukwinder got hell of a Money for it from ARR. Like Anirudh ARR also Copycat. He lifted mostly copied from English Pop songs. He also in search of tune from his Assistant and composed orchestrated his digital modern style. PSI back ground music & songs very poor. How the producer pay 4 cror per movie. Nowadays AR Rehman all songs are not hit. Still the people listened Ilaiyaraja songs.
