Hey man, sorry for your loss. Lost my grandpa in a similar/sudden fashion without a goodbye either and really messed up my later teen years where I hated nearly everything and everyone. Out of the 4 power ballads (Love Poem, Love Wins All, Dear Name, My Sea), this one's message is so relatable and the first time I heard this song I felt like the message in song was written/directed to me by IU, especially the second chorus where it goes 'for you who has forgotten how to cry out loud, I will sing.' and the last chorus 'On the day when your long night ends, I will be there, Where you raise your head and look...' Hope you land some London tickets, I'm sure she will do a number of ballads including Love Poem. I legit think I might actually cry if I hear it in person. She did Love Poem into My Sea at The Golden Hour which I went to go watch in the theaters and I definitely got a little misty eyed, good thing it was dark lol

Sorry to hear your loss. May your grandmother rest in peace. Seeing you i remembered how i cried listening this song. And i cried like a mess when i heard it with subtitles. It's ok sometimes getting teary helps healing inside. Honestly if comfort was a song it would be definitely this song love poem.❤❤

She co-wrote this song because too many of her personal friends died by suicide. They left because they believed no one cared. She wrote this to let others know they are not alone and they are loved. "I'll be there for you" is the key message of the song. The only other person who can do justice to this song is Kim So-hyang. Whenever I hear this song I think of my dear friend, David. He passed in a way similar to her friends. He was a true genius. Like, I'm unabashedly-smart, but this man was the epitome of brilliance.And so very gentle. These lyrics make me sad, but also happy that years after his passing, something as simple as a song can trigger me and bring back all the good, bad, and ugly memories of my friend. Love Poem helps me to keep David in my thoughts. I'm so grateful to Ms. IU for that. If that makes any sense whatsoever.

I WAS PISSED! I had just shaven, used a face mask, nose strip, eye collagen patches, cleansed, scrubbed and moisturised my skin and then dehydrated my skin with salty tears ahahahaha SO MAD
