this is the 2nd review I've seen from a youtuber who does good reviews and your opinion is the same as his a quality tool, costs a little more but will not let you down, good review
@snafu10185 жыл бұрын
Pricey but good quality. After buying/using some of the cheaper models (without an axe) they simply cannot take much abuse. So very true as someone mentioned in comments when threads are stripped making handles useless or shovels and pics bend due to average use or when hitting an unseen rock or root. Sometimes it is necesarry, well worth spending more to have tools of higher quality which can be depended on and not fail when needed. Great review as always and Thanks!

Thanks for the review. I'm always skeptical of these survival kits but this one seems to have the quality needed to work more than once. I noticed this company has several different options. Nice!

Great review. Watched several reviews on this. No one has ever stated the length of the walking stick.

Hey I saw You used some concrete blocks as support/base for your table, very good idea!! I'm going to do the same, besides, you have the blocks in case of needs.

Nice video thanks! In my view these small tactical shovels are great, but I would personally prefer an inch wider each side, and have it ‘dished’ a bit more for better soil removal. They’re smart though. And some are astronomically expensive!

I just wanted to tell you that ours has a fishing kit in it too. IT is in one of the sections. You may want to check your sections out to see if you have them too. It really is a nice kit and I am looking forward to digging up some Ramps next Spring.

The biggest weakness for this Multi-tool is mud or dirt. Once the threads from any of those pieces gets dirty...now the tool cannot be completely assembled.....Also if you dent or ding the handle pieces...forgetabout it. So, either assemble all together and leave it or use simply for show and tell. In other words, Stripped threads-tool becomes useless. Just my2cents. Another thorough review. Thanks for your time.
@Iridium2425 жыл бұрын
Yeah I have had that happen with some of the other tools I have had in the past, especially with the dirt here, it gets hard like clay when it dries and sticks. I will have to test that out with this one, as for denting these handle pieces, they are pretty sturdy but that is always a risk.

Why can't you just wash them out and oil them or something?

It's not so much the heat, for sure it is the uvc that really hurts my skin and heats me up quickly. For at least the last 6, 7 years now I have felt the sting of the sun on my skin and I'm Hispanic and never had a problem with it until recently. 👍
@Iridium2425 жыл бұрын
Yeah its tricky out here, because the humidity is so low. I make a point of always using sun screen in the summer when going out to do videos or yardwork or shooting, because you can burn here quickly

Great job. Thanks for the thorough well done review! I was wondering if the blades and cutting tools held there edges after you sharpened them? Or is the metal too cheap and soft to hold an edge! Thanks
@Iridium2423 жыл бұрын
they held and edge good and I still use this set. its pretty awesome as far as shovels go too

Threading on these things has been an issue for me.. They wear down over time and the whole thing eventually becomes useless.. How well does the threading hold up?
@Iridium2425 жыл бұрын
No problems with them yet, Granted I have not used it a ton, but did get dirt into the threads and it wiped right out, also came apart easily after use with dirt in it. The poles are a bit thicker in this one than most, makes it heavier but it makes it harder to damage as well!

I would love to the makers of this product add a medium size saw that goes in the handle

I’m looking for a good survival/tactical shovel for the outdoors. I don’t want it to have any attachments on the handle because I feel like it reduces the strength in the handle and it can be a possible breaking point. I just want a good shovel that I can carry around that have a sharp edge and can be used a bit like an axe or at least it can chop
@Iridium2424 жыл бұрын
What you want is the Spetsnaz Shovel from Cold Steel, its built like a tank, can shop, and is nothing but a shovel. They are super tough and very compact.

The word Sharp is relative. If you can run your finger along the cutting edge, then it isn't sharp! If you run your finger across my knives, you'll be able to tell right away, because it's sharpness will cut your skin to the bone, with just a tap.
