Am I missing something? This isn't the cheapest survival shovel ($109.99 at 10:09am 6/20). In no way is the imperial system advantageous, it is downright the worse system. Almost all countries use metric now for almost all industries, like building and construction, in fact, especially construction, that is why one of the space missions America launched catastrophically failed. America didn't take into account the fact that near enough every country they imported components from used the metric system.

I'm American and use mostly metric in construction drawings and details. I have to say metric is superior to American (imperial) and the USA should have switched to metric a long time ago. The American system is way more confusing. 1/32" 1/8" 1/4" etc. Once you get used to metric it is much quicker and easier. Especially in calculations. Because of the American system we have to do both all the time and convert american to metric. Makes everything more difficult and time consuming.

Your argument is outdated. Sorry. Plus if you really were doing this dozens of times a day. You would get good enough to do the math in your head. For cm to inches, it's divide length by 2.54.... and yeah. I do that math all day long in my head, no calculator, my job doesn't allow for a calculator or writing it down, it requires on the spot calculations in your head with no margin for error. @@markovertus3909 All units are going to be proportional to their base. The point is about MULTIPLE units that are proportional with *each other*. A cent is 1 per"cent" of 100. But then there are nickels: five "cents", dimes: ten "cents", quarters: twenty-five "cents". You just gave an example of Metric's logic being worthless. Does a car cost 40 "kiloeuros" in Europe? No, it'd cost 40 thousand Euros. The "thousand" is already a unit. It's redundant. The only reason for having other units is if they're in proportion to something useful, i.e. different value coins.

No offense, but I think you have issues with pocket chainsaws because you use them improperly, not because they are useless. Ive had quite a few, and they have always been useful cutting down trees, sawing logs and firewood. I think the issue is that you were keeping the blade straight, like a normal saw, and doing this really awkward motion to saw the tree, instead of curving the blade around the tree and using your core to shift your weight to cut the tree. Also, the metric system is the only correct measuring system.

I used to under rate even the most expensive survival kits but a friend told me something that completely changed my perspective. It's not made to be an amazing tool for every day use. It's to keep on your person in case of emergency and hope that you don't have to use it more than once or twice in your life it's there as a life line not a luxury tool

Compared to the most expensive survival multi-tool that you reviewed for $600.00, I must say that this is a bargain for $30.00. Neither would be my first choice for actual survival, but both would offer some utility in a pinch. Good reviews.

With the chain saws they work best when used with a bow . Get a fork of wood long enough to bridge the gap of the blade and six inches more tie one end to bow and use para cord and stick to secure / tighten other end then vualah a basic sturdy bow saw ....

Either way I think using something people have ran at least once in their life or use every day gives great reference, like how long is a mile, how long is a kilometre I know how big a washing machine is, I know how big a car generally is, it is funny to use as a measurement but i think references to common items is far better than either (though metric would be better if you need actual numbers)
