you are so so welcome!! having a mask has been a blessing to me because I don't have acne on my forehead, all of my acne is around my cheeks/chin so it's all covered so I have been fortunately that the mask covers everything. but before this, I am just like you I HAVE to have some coverage before I leave the house. at least a thin layer of something to even things out a little!

i have quite a bit of texture. i don’t use primer, but i use a pot concealer (the makeup revolution one or the top faced peach one, depends on the day) and then i use this foundation over it. i have similar problems to you, but i use a light to medium amount on my skin bc i like a more “natural” look. i have some ice pick scarring from my acne on my cheeks and this concealer layer thing works well on me. i wore this foundation for the first day to work today and it was on for almost 11 hours and it looked great still

I have extremely dry skin so I actively search for videos where someone who has dry skin reviews the product so I know if it can potentially work for me or not. I love how thorough you are. However, I have one concern. The usage of primer on one side is a very good idea BUT you also add another variable on top of that, namely the brush/sponge. How can u be sure if an issue occurs whether it's the fault of the applicator or the primer. You have the primer on the brush side only, so it's either the brush or the primer causing the difference, but you cant tell which because you haven't tested the primer with the sponge & the new foundation too..does that make sense? Anyway, small observation on my part. Still think you do an excellent job

that's a good point! on the first day though (off camera) I used a sponge on the entire face, no primer and just set it with powder and these issues still happened so I was pretty confident about it being a foundation issue versus an application issue. But your concern totally makes sense!

It looked pretty good from a distance, but a little bit makeuppy (I think I made up a word). And close up, that wasn't great at the very beginning. I do appreciate your in-depth reviews. Even though I don't have acne any longer, I do have an oily nose and chin and texture and pores on my face. I've tried a couple of foundations you've done reviews/recommendations on and they work beautifully on my face. To the person who made the comment about foundation not laying properly because you have acne, I wonder if they have acne and have never found a foundation that works or if they've been blessed to never have a breakout. They must not have had flaky skin either. I can never fathom why people need to be mean-spirited though. I happened upon a video of an older woman (like in her 60s or 70s). She had wrinkles, but still likes makeup. Someone made a comment that she should act her age and quit wearing makeup like a teenager (although it was a bit nastier than that). She just did a normal makeup routine. I wasn't aware that you couldn't wear makeup or needed to change colors because you had wrinkles.

For me the only 2 foundations I swear by as someone with acne and not majorly oily skin, actually quite normal to dry, are mac studio fix and double wear Estee lauder. Estee lauder seems to be even longer lasting and won't budge no matter what. I use thin layers tho, usually one to 2
