Yes, my first experience of this type of stove. I was actually surprised as much easier than expected. Build quality looks good and i really like the quiet cap. Not sure how long it will last. Poor mans Optimus Svea I guess. Aspen 4 fuel is really good. No sooting and much cheaper than Coleman Fuel. Basically it’s the same stuff under a different brand. Looking forward to taking it out 👍

No, apologies my error. Did not realise until after uploaded. To be honest I was not going to post a video this week as short of time. Decided to play around with some different camera techniques just as a learning experience then put that out as an afterthought. Looking forward to actually getting out and producing something better when I have the opportunity and the weather is a little kinder 👍

Nice! It lists for $177 on Amazon Canada 😝. How much was it for you? Does the lack of a pressure valve bother you? Do you have a Svea to compare to?

Hi, in the UK on Amazon it is £62.79 so just about justifiable. Have not found it anywhere else. $177 is outrageous. That was the first time I have used this type of stove. I did wonder if I was building a bomb lol. I like the simple operation and that there is not a lot to go wrong. Much easier than my paraffin (kerosene)stoves. No unfortunately I do not have a Svea which is probably better but double the cost in the UK. Looking forward to taking it out in the real world when it actually stops raining 👍

I found my Sveas on eBay. They usually need some work unless you pay for a less used one. I pay close attention to the pressure and adjust it by turning the flame up or down since the stove uses heat feedback for pressurization. I usually put a pot on right away when preheating with alcohol, it traps the heat, doesn't waste it, and heats the bell faster.

Fair one. Will take it out soon when weather better and give some proper commentary. Was not sure if it was any good but decided to get one. I am rather pleased with the little stainless steel chap 👍
