I still would recommend you and try the watch(es) on your wrist. Knowing the lug to lug distance for sure is a good base to make a decision, but still the process should end by having the desired watch on your wrist... Let me know if you have any other questions...

So the 40mm non-chrono Portugeiser has a longer lug to lug than the larger 41mm chrono Portugeiser?

I love the fact that so many Europeans can converse so easily in a 2nd ( and sometimes 3rd) language! I can't think of one American watch channel where that would happen. If I'm not mistaken, both of these gentlemen are in fact native German speakers, but both effortlessly carried on a very detailed jargon-filled discussion for their English-speaking viewers. Loved getting to know more about not just the history of this important line in the IWC family, but also the reasoning behind some of the design choices. Excellent stuff! 😃😃😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I also agree, that of all the new releases presented to this point, I think the IWC's are the clear stars of 2020...most notably the perpetuals! I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised, and very impressed by the watches themselves, but also the consise direction IWC seems to be headed. I would love to see these guys, in time, back near the top again. Well done.

Nice new novelties from IWC! I'm glad to see that they are slowly coming down in size. I really like the 42mm perpetual, but the classic chrono is also a long love of mine. I wonder if the new in-house moment made the watch thicker than the previous Valjoux 7750? Good job IWC...

IWC is dying, I am surprised that they have the courage to even launch anything in 2020. Their biggest mistake was making 1000 different pilot watches, and also the stopping of the Ingenieur model. It could have been one of the best selling watches, instead of relaunching the modified IW32302/04/06/09 they completely changed it to a different watch. It is really a pity. Many collections they have are for older gentlemen, like Portuguiser... I am not impressed and I wouldn't buy any of them because I feel the price is far too much.
