Yayy glad to see my packages arrived in tact! And that you enjoyed the idea of trying the fast food sauces. Bit of trivia, the maccas cookies are made by Arnotts, their names in the front. Those kids cookies have been around a long time. The stubby holder literally had your name on it 😂. Glad you liked the books too. The explore Australia one has lots of info including suggested itineraries and road trips, and off roading suggestions and tips. The kids book is inspired by former no 1. Tennis player, Evonne Goolagong Cawley. She won the Australian open, French open, Wimbledon etc. And was the first Indigenous Australian to win wimbledon I believe. Loved seeing everyone else's amazing packages too. There's much well deserved love for you guys out there. 😊

Ever heard of trans generational trauma? Have u ever spoken 2 ur mates on how the stolen generation &/or racism has affected them personally. I would b very surprised if they said it had never happened. The whole NT Intervention thing & the welfare card system smacks of racism. These policies & experiences can make people feel anxious about moving forward in an EQUAL way. I'm not trying 2 have a go but it's s'thing 2 think about.

@@rodsouthern2690 I'm glad u were able 2 learn from ur fathers mistakes (4 lack of a better word) it does lend itself 2 my beliefs that we can improve ourselves by acknowledging past experiences tho. I also have friends & family who were adopted & don't have regrets about that but it's the CURRENT racism they face that is the real kick in the guts. I know indigenous people who have lived good lives, worked hard, paid their taxes & contributed 2 society in so many ways. Yet when they have needed centrelink payments after injury or retirement they've been treated like children who NEED s'one else 2 manage their money, telling them where they can spend THEIR $$ & what on. All because of their aboriginality & where they happen 2 live. Don't know how u can expect people in those circumstances 2 b so positive about moving forward as EQUALS. FYI, I'm not aboriginal, I just don't like the injustices I see (or excuses from either "side") but my rant is over now ✌

There are some Australians who revel in our “dark” history - the “black armband of history”. While there are dark parts of our history there is also much to be proud of. Also there is not much difference between Australian history and that of any new world countries. One cannot compare today’s society with what was the norm in all societies hundreds of years ago, nor can the people of today be blamed for the actions of their predecessors though there are people who try to.
@ingridclare7411

Yeah thanks for someone finally saying this. Its v true, I've studied our history v extensively and actually Arthur Phillip defended the aboriginals and loved them and they loved him in return. He hung at least 2 convicts for harming indigenous in whats now Rushcutters Bay. And he refused to punish indigenous for killing convicts. He understood their situation. When he got speared in the leg by the tribe in what's now called Manly he refused to let any soldier harm the man. His tribe were v pissed off he had done the spearing and they dealt with him themselves. God knows what they did!! Manly is named for this tribe as Phillip thought they were a v manly tribe. People don't realise that mob of rag tag soldiers were only there to keep the convicts in line. There were only 400 of them. They were the dregs of the English army sent off to god know where. Like Mars to them, There were no warships in the fleet, 400 soldiers is not many. Arthur Phillip also had a letter from George 3rd saying he was to welcome the indigenous into the protection of the British 'family'. Thats how they spoke in the 1800s as we know. But it puts paid to the notion that England belived it was Terra Nulluis. I read Watkin Tench's diary of the whole arrival and living with the aboriginals and its wonderful. Worth a read. Tench was an officer with the soldiers. But mention this today and it goes against the 'woke' crap and none of them have read ANYTHING about our history. In case they learn something against their fashionable brainwashed little minds. Yes, indeed not all governors were as good as Phillip ( Macquarie was though) and dramas happened, especially the Myall Lake massacre for which 7 white men were hung in Sydney. Who knows THAT??? The local white people handed them over themselves because they all were getting on well. Both the local tribes and poor white settlers. Then the Duracks when they went right up north ( from Goulburn, where they began) protected the indigenous greatly and worried about the loss of their culture. To the extent they did not want intermarriage between their stockmen and aboriginal girls because they thought it would weaken indigenous culture. It did, it was true. The Duracks were Irish and they understood how culture could be destroyed being 700 years under the English yoke, but still keeping their culture to the English annoyance. Even though Cromwell tried to genocide them in the 1600s. Sorry about history lesson!!!!!! Like you, I'm so sick of the crap that gets said today. You're not allowed to show evidence to the opposite and I'm truly sick of the ignorance. Don't forget Watkin's great first hand report of the First Fleets arrival and great difficulty. Waiting for the appalling 2nd fleet was hell as they were so short of supplies. But George 3rd couldn't have chosen better than Arthur Phillip. The indigenous wept when he left, they thought he was going to spend rest of his life here.

The holden logo was a lion rolling a rock. Apparently thats what was seen thousands of years ago and some prehistoric person saw that and invented the wheel. So the jerky, you'll probably like it. Overseas people often ask why we eat the animals on out coat of arms. The reason the emu and roo are on the coat of arms is both those animals cannot walk backwards. So moving forwards. So roos are pests, not because they ruin crops ore livestock, they like to breed alot. So theres a yearly cull to keep their population down. In no way are they endangered. Emu, its not as common to eat. Roo isnt overly common either. But in the 1930s the australian army lost the war against emus. So i guess thats an F you to emus that we eat them on the odd occasion. So never had roo, emu or croc jerky. Only non dried versions of each. Roo is not too dissimilar to beef, just very lean and not fatty. Emu, thats a hard one to explain. Its good, kinda stringy and also has a sweetness to it. Croc, that tastes like chicken but tougher.

Also the first thing you have to do if you ever visit Australia is try an actual Golden Gaytime icecream. It's so good, that's why many products in the supermarket come in Golden Gaytime flavour.

0:25 I like the HSV cap. It actually looks good on you with red chin growth. Reminds me of the day I dropped in on one of my friends at the Holden dealership in Alice Springs (Quit some years back). He was something of a Holden racing fan and lived and breathed anything HSV. As soon as he seen me he dragged me inside to show me the flagship 350ci HSV Club Sport that had just hit the showroom floor. Within 5 mins we were on our way out of Alice Springs and on the open highway. Now the Stuart Highway from Alice Springs through to Darwin is mostly a "State Speed Limit with care" roughly 2 yards wider than most Australian highways, and graded gravel approximately the highway sealed width on each side of the sealed bitumen. The Norther Territory has no official Speed Limit, so the only restriction on top speed is defined under "Unsafe driving due to road conditions", which essentially means you can tap that speedometer of the maximum stops :P That had to be one of the most memorable days of my life. Sitting in that HSV putting it through it's paces with no limitations and the WOW factor was off the map. Thank you for reminding me of that day :)

The Castle came out a month before I had to do my Administration Law exam, at university. After watching the movie, I did not have to study for the exam as it basically covered the entire subject for me. Needless to say, I passed with a very high mark.

Maccas Cookies used to be a small cardboard box - kids made money boxes from them. Tomato Sauce is thinner & spreads better on meat pies. OMG I have not seen Chickadees for 20 years & I never knew you could get Mini Pringles.

Green's brownies. Green's have very tasty products. I prefer to use their gravy over using Gravox which is more well known or perhaps popular? That Holden Story box, is worth a pretty penny. How generous of your viewer.

Pecorino cheese is Italian made with sheep's milk. It's so good in-between layers of lasagna, the best for Carbonara and most cook to serve pasta dishes.

The cheese crackers you tried at the start are good with margarine or butter and Vegemite/promite on them then bung another cracker on top. Used to take them for lunch as a kid.
