I was falling asleep while watching this and received a call from my own father. I have been ignoring his calls/texts for several months. But today I decided to answer. I've been binging Iyanla for the past few days and have been doing a lot of deep thinking about who I am and why I do the things I do and what I want in my life. This is just a start to my healing but I am SO grateful God has put Iyanla on this Earth to serve women like myself and so many others. 💜

It's too bad your grammar is so atrocious because what you're saying is correct, You cannot fix anyone, you cannot change anyone, you can not control anyone, you can only change or control yourself, If you're in relationship with someone that means you have to be okay with accepting them exactly as they are because YOU CAN'T CHANGE THEM! That is how it is......Fix yourself, be complete in yourself, you cannot love anyone 💯 unless you're good with yourself, Mic drop, periodt, end of story.......

Either Evelyn is not able to go deeper into her truth, or she doesn't want to go deeper. She is still playing a part for the cameras. Sometimes we let our status in the world keep us from healing old wounds that will transform our lives in ways we can't imagine. But I get it, the unknown is a scary place. So we stay in the familiar no matter how toxic. I wish her the best. I wish all of us the best 😍

I too was a lil girl who didn't morn the betrayal of my father. he was my life I his only lil girl. then he separated from my mom and I did not see him or know about him for 4 years just like that I was dismissed. I was 18 but it hurt me so bad I felt I was unworthy of love. In my Latin misogynistic family I was not told the truth. That led me to a down word spiral. Man! its crazy that I as a woman I believed I had no power. I like how strong Evelyn is because she's putting it out there for every one to see. thank you both for this experience it has brought me to terms with how I also allowed men to hit me and dishonor me.
