We walked out of there delirious for three days talking about the show over and over again, no joke. Make no mistake about it, there was something almost paranormal about that band, even with Gilby. Thank God we have You Tube to post these bootleg and occasional pro-shot videos to relive some of that magic. It's not just what he brought to Guns And Roses. It was a very strong pillar that had to be there for the band to continue destroying everything as it always did. When he left, even Axl must have thought it wasn't even worth it anymore. In fact, after he left, they didn't release any more albums. It's an amazing band that wasn't meant to last long. @distantandvague8 жыл бұрын
No, I know this. It's just Adler's problems still seem to be an issue in his life, which is very likely why he was not included in the reunion (or Axl just really loves Frank Ferrer, I don't know).

+Gage Horn Except the rest of them cleaned up...while Adler did not. Hell he toured with Duff a couple years back and by his own admission was loaded and drunk of his ass for that...just 2 years ago. GnR came out just as I discovered pot. I remember listening to them on headphones in a dark room while deeply stoned for possibly the first time... & the rhythm of each song was what, somehow in a "this only happens once" kind of experience, sent electric pulses zinging up & down my nervous system, SYNCHRONIZED to Izzys rhythmic patterns.... I never recaptured that experience no matter how much of what I smoked but I recall it vividly to this day. & have ever since (this was, like, 87) thought of Izzy as the true essential element of the sound.

The Mick Taylor of Guns. The most talented, the most melodic, and leaves at their height because they weren't true to his vision. Can't fake that.

bionicbigfoot I think he left more due to becoming sober and couldn’t keep working with addicts if he was going to stay off drugs and alcohol.

Mick Taylor wasn't an OG member though.

I remember this debuting on MTV...it was a big deal, being that Izzy had left GNR to get clean and get sober. I went out that day to RECORD THEATER to buy the CD...it was NOT a mistake. It's an album I can still listen to from cover to cover, even in 2020 during the days of Covid19. Music saves, people, stay home, and turn it up!!

Every member of this band is so crucial to the sound. It is impossible to have the magic without each of the original five members together working together

My Fav Member of Gn'R. The Heart & Soul of the Band. He brought a sleazy bluesy Rolling Stones vibe.

I just dug out my old tape collection for the son of a friend who's totally retro and rediscovered this album. Izzy truly deserves to be better well known.

he is a genius guys, sense of basic parts of rock n roll was trully amazing. GNR couldn't be the biggest without him!

I could just imagine Axl singing Train Tracks or Cuttin the Rug. Such an amazing album. Izzy rocks

Nice soulful groove; kind of stonsy laid back and cool... Izzy is great brother as well; used to hang out with his brother Joe in the late 80's in North Hollywood, best of times.
