This is the reason I was able relax and rest while in labor. My son starting pushing his self out. 7 years later baby # 4 and I still come back to practice.

I'm wondering where the term "J" breathing came from.....after watching several of these videos about it I realized this is actually a yogic breath called Ujjayi breath that I was already familiar with. Anyway, using this breathing technique once I was in transition was SOOOO helpful. :)
@katania223 жыл бұрын
You're also breathing down and out like the letter"J" ...the path the breath goes and the baby comes out.

I have watched multiple videos on this technique, and I still just don't get it. How do you " breathe down your throat"?

Hi, just a quick edit (as one birth educator to another): birth canal (one "n"). I know how easy it is to miss and seems small, but I feel we're taken more seriously if our material is flawless.

Hi Mandy, super birth breathing video- thanks so much. It was most helpful to watch you do The technique itself the few times- really good clear guidance. Thanks again (",)

I truly don't get the concept of breathing out through your yoni....I mean are you essentially breathing out slowly while making a subtle, closed-mouth "ha"....? Just don't get that part.

not if you don't practice and actually BELIEVE it works
@floodgates1827 жыл бұрын
Elizabeth Brown Yes, it does. I didn't actually do this technique consciously, I just relaxed and told myself I'm all soft and open, and the baby is coming out in her own time, and she did. And it didn't hurt more than a visit to the dentist. And just took six hours.
