芸舞妓さん達の始業式には黒紋付きでの出席らしいですが、上七軒さん以外の芸舞妓さん達が上に着ている羽織も色様々でなんとも華やかでありますね。 この花街の始業式も数少ない伝統行事らしいですが、始業式といえば休み明けの学校が始まる方の嫌な始業式しか思い浮かばない私にとってannaさんの動画でこういう別の始業式がある事を教えて頂きました^^ 今回も素敵な動画をありがとうございます。

コメント、誠にありがとうございます。 私も、休みが終わってしまうイメージを始業式には持っていましたが、今回華やかな始業式後の様子を拝見してイメージが変わりました。鮮やかな和傘や羽織の色が石畳に映っていたりと、全てにおいて華やかな一日でした。私の使用しているカメラは赤色の表現が苦手なようで、その点が心残りです。

They're wearing Zori ^^ Normally you would see a mix of Zori, Okobo, and Geta, but because it was raining, it was safer to use Zori ^^

実は、最初のほうは雨がとてもきつかったです😊傘やお着物のカラフルな色合いも京都の町並みにはとてもぴったりだと感じました。 恐れ多いので私にはチャレンジできそうにないです（笑）

雨が降ればこんな風に色とりどりの雨ゴートを羽織られるのですね。雨の日の情景もしっとりと美しいです✨傘をさすと白いお顔にほのかに傘の色の陰りがさしているのも美しいです✨✨✨

こちら（祇園甲部）も行かれたとは． そして上七軒も． 雨模様の中撮影時間長かったと思いますが，寒かったのでは？ こちら（祇園甲部）は宮川町とは違い距離を置いての撮影で． 宮川町の挨拶廻りの映像は距離感も近く，密で濃い映像でした．

I heard that now taking a photo on that area no longer allowed. It said that due to the privacy of neighbourhood, okiya & the geisha itself. Authorities also said that you will get fine if you take the geisha photo without permission.

I need to ask, maiko usually wear the taller okobo, and here they're wearing much shorter footwear, is it because of the rain?

Yes ^^ Maiko only wear Okobo if they have a short distance to walk and if the weather allows for it. They're made of wood so don't have a whole lot of traction so they can very easily slip and hurt themselves. Safety over aesthetics ^^
