Having the precision and the know-how is useful, but also having the electrical equipment... is not within everyone's reach. I learned to use a saw and wood chisels, certainly this way of doing things is longer and more laborious. This in no way takes away from the work I saw on this video, I like the assembly and the way of doing it... Excellent work.

In total agreement. I love watching the old hand work, espexially the Japanese guys but at the same time, I appreciate the modern advancements. As evidenced by my shop. 😂 I definitely have a lot of power stuff that I could get along without! A tool whore if you will.

Using the table saw with the jigs for joinery proves you do not need lots of specialized tools. Just knowing the table saw and geometry you are able to wonderful joinery! Nice work J !

Your skill is great. One suggestion I would make is to attach the top in a way that would allow the wood to expand and contract. I’m sure you understand what I’m suggesting.

wood breathes, and screws are probably a better solution to the expansion/contraction issues. i guess you could use dowels or something.
