It's the SQ321, everyone's talking over this. But for CAT (Clear Air Turbulence) is a headache for all pilots, including very, very experience pilots. Reference to Wikipedia but not sure it applies to all airline pilots or is in the regulations: When a pilot experiences CAT, a number of rules should be applied: - The aircraft must sustain the recommended velocity for turbulence. - When following the jet stream to escape from the CAT, the aircraft must change altitude and/or heading. - When the CAT arrives from one side of the airplane, the pilot must observe the thermometer to determine whether the aircraft is above or below the jet stream and then move away from the tropopause. - When the CAT is associated with a sharp trough, the plane must go through the low-pressure region instead of around it. - The pilot may issue a Pilot Report (PIREP), communicating position, altitude and severity of the turbulence to warn other aircraft entering the region. And thanks for the video tips.

I always put on my Seat belt even Seat Belt Sign was off. I always enjoy cheering up the crews too, especially Crews from Singapore Airlines. I never have a bad flight with Singapore Airlines too.
seat belt in the flight isn't uncomfortable as it is a 2 point fastening unlike in car which is 3 points. So I usually keep it fasten unless I need to get up from my seat
seat belt ON does not mean tie yourself as if yourself is a cargo.. still can be loss enough .. I basically wear seat belt all the way till go toilet or just stand up to move move my legs.

Thanks for watching and sharing!! Very experienced passenger 👍👍👍
飞行非常平稳,没有颠簸,但 landing on CNX runway was so hard! As if the plane was smash onto the runway. Why like that? Landing on Changi Airport runway was smoother except for the usual bumps (becos the plane's wheels were running onto the lights on the runway?). I saw the green lights on the runway and it reminded me of your 但我也可以从机票上看出 A320 = Airbus lah。

Truly, there is the pressure of time to complete all inflight operations and hence, the crew could still be serving even when the seat belt sign is on. If it was a long bumpy ride and the service crew could not serve food let alone duty-free goods, passengers were not going to be pleased either. Perhaps there should be a revolutionary change in how hot meals and drinks are dispensed, just like an automated conveyor belt🤣

### Minimizing Occupational Risks for Flight Attendants During In-Flight Services **Proposal 1: Trolley Locking Mechanism** 1. **Implementing Locking Stations:** - **Design**: Install locking stations at regular intervals along the aisle. These stations can secure the trolley in place when the flight attendants need to stop to serve passengers. - **Mechanism**: The trolley could have a mechanism that allows it to easily lock and unlock from these stations, perhaps through a simple latch system that flight attendants can engage and disengage with one hand. - **Safety**: During unexpected turbulence, a locked trolley would prevent it from becoming a dangerous projectile, thereby protecting both the attendants and the passengers. **Proposal 2: Permanent Poles Along the Aisle** 2. **Installing Grab Poles:** - **Design**: Install vertical poles at regular intervals along the aisle, similar to those found on public transportation like buses and trains. - **Placement**: These poles should be strategically placed to provide maximum support without obstructing the aisle or creating new hazards. Ideally, they should be located at positions where flight attendants are most likely to need them, such as near the galley and at regular intervals down the aisle. - **Function**: These poles would give flight attendants something sturdy to hold onto during turbulence, reducing the risk of them being thrown around and injured. **Proposal 3: Enhanced Safety Measures in Restrooms** 3. **Installing Grab Bars in Restrooms:** - **Design**: Add grab bars in airplane restrooms similar to those found in accessible restrooms. - **Function**: These bars would provide passengers with something to hold onto during turbulence, reducing the risk of injury if they are caught off guard while using the restroom. **Additional Considerations** 1. **Turbulence Prediction and Communication:** - **Technology**: Equip aircraft with advanced turbulence prediction technology that can provide more accurate and timely warnings. - **Communication**: Ensure that pilots and crew have clear and effective communication protocols to alert flight attendants to secure themselves and the trolleys immediately upon detection of turbulence. 2. **Training and Procedures:** - **Training**: Regularly train flight attendants on how to quickly and effectively secure trolleys and themselves in the event of sudden turbulence. - **Procedures**: Develop and drill specific procedures for handling trolleys and moving about the cabin during turbulence, ensuring that all crew members are well-prepared for these situations. 3. **Improved Trolley Design:** - **Weight Distribution**: Design trolleys to have a lower center of gravity to make them less likely to tip over. - **Brake System**: Equip trolleys with a reliable and easy-to-engage brake system that can be quickly activated during unexpected turbulence. ### Conclusion These proposals aim to enhance the safety of flight attendants and passengers by minimizing the risks associated with in-flight turbulence. Implementing locking mechanisms for trolleys, installing grab poles along the aisle, and adding grab bars in restrooms are practical measures that can significantly reduce the dangers of flying objects and injuries during turbulence. Additionally, improving turbulence prediction and communication, coupled with thorough training and better trolley design, will further enhance overall safety. 10:09
