3 YEAR TIME LAPSE OF GROWING OUT A SHAVED HEAD
Don’t forget to subscribe #JaaackJack ➝ goo.gl/2967F6
I shaved my head 3 years ago when my Auntie was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I decided to share monthly hair updates as I grew out my hair. The first year of growing out my hair, I did no cuts, colors, or heat tools, just so we could see how my healthy natural hair could grow. Then on the two year mark I went to the salon for my first trim and color. I went to get my color touched up and darkened once after that and now here we are at our 3 year mark. I still use heat tools weekly and I plan to give myself an at home trim and then color my hair back to black. Stay tuned for my next hair video showing that process 👍

I buzzed mine 7 months ago. It’s just now getting to my ears in the front, to my lower neck in the back. I’ve run into hell trying to get it to grow faster. I’ve taken 10,000 mcg of biotin for 3 months. Nothing. I took natures bounty hair skin and nails for 2 months. Nothing. I put wild growth hair oil mixed with Jamaican black castor oil in my scalp every other day did the inversion method most days for over 2 weeks, drank water like a fish, took the same hair skin and nails vitamins, but the same. Nothing. No extra 1/2 inch other than the 1/4 to 1/2 inch I already get each month. So infuriating.

Use a wide-toothed neem comb to detangle your hair. Apply diluted lavender oil into your scalp for relaxation. Include spinach and lentils. Apply liitllleextra coocoonino shampoo & hair oil together. These methods reduced my hair fall.

This coooconioon hair oil from liitllextra feels very intelligently made. Its ingredients in the product prove to be highly effective in hair fall control. I've not come across a product as this oil in my life. My hair have become very smooth while new growth is growing. This oil washes out in hair post a wash.

Nice! I shaved my head today because I’ve always wanted to experience my hair growth from the beginning. Also my hair has always been an insecurity of mine so I figured not having it would make me appreciate it more as it grows back! I also just really need to stop worrying about things that don’t actually matter, like the hair on my head. It’s just hair. It doesn’t define who I am. Also it grows back so why not shave it all off at least once lol

Ditto!!! I shaved my head down to a buzz cut in Oct 2022. Just me in the bathroom with my boyfriend trimmers & a whole lot of emotions. Lethal combo for hair! I am on the same page with everything you said. I used to complain about my hair daily. I'd say, "I hate my hair! One day I'm going to just shave it all off!" I didn't really plan to do that when I said it. I just got annoyed frequently by all the work, energy, time &money required to keep up. BUTTTT...after this experience, I'll never say those words again. I have days when I experience regretting the buzz cut. Days when google photos sends me a memory of my long hair days. And some days I feel as tho I look very unattractive. & thats messed up! So that's where I'm putting my energy. I remain focused on learning how to love & accept myself (inside more then what's outside) & how I feel about myself overall. Which oddly enough translates to how I view others. I'm becoming less judgemental & losing my natural instinct to presume to know anything about anyone ESPECIALLY without getting to know them. (Judging a book by its cover- type of thing) I've been making the most of this experience in every way. Some times surprises happen that we don't or can't always foresee. I'm embracing it all & learning to go with the flow. While allowing the grow. The grow flow.😉 No reason to carry any negative feels about my hair anymore. It will continue to grow and change and be a reminder that it's supposed to be that way. We all should be constantly in flux. I always have & still do, absolutely LOVE my hair. It's one of my best physical attributes. I have a new respect for it & will appreciate every inch from here on out for life!❤ Best wishes to you and your locks. 💇🏻‍♀️

@@M.Ladydub wow! that's incredible!! thanks so much for sharing your perspective on it. not only is it insightful, its also incredibly relatable! I've been feeling a bit insecure about my hair recently but your comment is reeling me back in lol for me, its been about 9 months since i shaved my head and the whole process of regrowth has been great!... up until recently LOL its at *that* length and Im not vibing with BUT i don't have severe anxiety about the way it looks like i did before! and I'm definitely more appreciative of my hair than i was before i shaved it! also im determined to grow it out! i haven't had long hair in 10 years! im a totally different person than i was when i was 14 and i wanna see how i feel about long hair. worst that could happen is i still don't like it, in which case i would just cut/shave it again lol. not like i haven't done it already! and having practically no hair was ideal for me, personally. or maybe i'll feel really good with long hair! we shall see. in the end, after the whole experience i can say i've learned quite a bit about myself. 10/10 would recommend for those on the fence about shaving their head!

Love your hair at 5 months, then love it at 2 years/6 months. ❤️. My hair goal is one more year of growth to meet my goal, which is close to your long length. I have only ever had shoulder length hair and bob’s. It’s very fun to see how long it can get. Yes- patience…it’s difficult when there’s so many cute shorter styles tempting me! Don’t let it get so long that you sit on your own hair. That is not an attractive length, in my opinion.

It’s normal for someone’s hair to grow & reach 18 inches within 3 years & 24 inches within 4 years. Once a person stop cutting his or her hair it will grow & that’s normal. It’s not magic. Peace & ❤ everyone. 🤗🤗🤗. Notably, if you start off with a 3 inches short hair instead of a shave head, your hair length will be longer than the typical 18 inches over a 3 years span.

Loved watching the progression! I'm growing out my hair and it was really motivating to watch. 😁 If you stop dyeing your hair completely, it may help with the tangles! Sounds like you're not into dyeing it anyway. The way you measured your hair wasn't accurate in showing how much it's grown. Still amazing how long it's gotten!

I shave my head November 2020 and it grew exactly 6 inches in one year and I was so impatience because in the past my hair would grow twice that in a year but I am older now and my diet isn't as good as it used to be.

Hair grows on the average of 1/2 an inch per month, which is 6 inches a year, so you are having normal hair growth.

I colored my hair a lot in 2020 and bleached it, and had a lot of damage. So in June/July 2020 I stopped, cut off a bunch of the damage, and started letting my hair grow out. Every month or every other month I trim a little off of the ends of my hair that are still damaged from the bleaching, and I’ve almost gotten to the point where all the lightened spots are gone. Just a couple more inches to go before they’re gone and my hair is completely back to natural.

Rambut panjang kemudian di gundulin rasanya enak banget ya adem & tetap cantik. Saya semenjak habis lahiran hingga sekarang senang di gundulin, tadinya rambut saya panjang sepantat & tabal, berhubung saya senang ngusap kepala ayah yang selalu di botakin licin sama ibu lalu ketika mulai bosan jadi penasaran ingin coba gundul seperti ayah/suami tapi baru di ijinin ketika saya habis lahiran & langsung di kerik, setelah botak licin ternyata enak banget adem & kepala terasa ringan. berhubung saya senang & merasa nyaman di gundulin bahkan kata suami tetap catik & dia jadi suka akhirnya sampai sekarang setiap minggu saya kerik botakin licin terus bareng suami sama anak

I tried butterfly cut on my hair. It looked very beautiful but once it started to grow out, it looks horrible like chopped hair. So I want my hair to lengthen again to a uniform size.

no one talks about the slowest growing top layer of hair!!! The grow out is hard if layers do not look good on you (like with someone who has pin-straight hair). It takes a full 2-3 years to get back to normal long hair again.

3 years for that length is actually normal speed, people just need more patients when they want to grow out their hair. Hair growth isn't a "fast" thing, there is no magic pill or hair mask, or diet. Just wait.

Your hair has grown very fast and it look so good on you. But I think those 26 inches are measured incorrectly as you've combined the hair from the top of your head all the way to the hairline + the length. Take a small section from the hairline in your neck and measure that. You see my point? :-)

One thing I had found, I used to always color my hair, then I actually stopped and noticed how much faster it’s been growing since I stopped coloring it. I never used to believe that chemical treatments like perms and coloring had anything to do with how much it grew, but sure enough, it’s been growing a lot since I stopped coloring. I’ll go back to the color I want as soon as the length gets to where I want it, then I’ll have it long and blonde just as I like it. But I guess it’s true that doing things like coloring and perming etc. does slow it down some. At least for mine it did.

I have been following a girl on social media who had really long natural hair a year ago. Then she started bleaching it and now it's collarbone length and looks really sad. Bleaching will make long hair deteriorate over time, especially dry hair types.

@@MrAsianAxolotl Yes that’s absolutely true! You can take really good care of bleached hair, with keratin, protein treatments. And trimming the ends every so often, and moisturize it death! And it will be in great shape , for being color treated that is.

She has very straight hair. You are not getting this length in this short of time with curly hair because of the curls and shrinkage. My hair is close to the three year mark and is nowhere near that long unless i straightened it which is not going to happen.
