My grandpa fought for Fidel Castro in Cuba. He told me of a story where he pretended to be anti-Castro, and then went from Cuba on a boat towards Florida, and met midway with CIA people who gave him weapons and bombs with the purpose of being used by anti-Castro people during the bay of pigs invasion. But the weapons never got to the anti Castro exiles because my grandpa got them and just went to Fidel and gave them the weapons instead. He still lives in Cuba with my grandma.

did you ever figure out the monetization problem for these videos?
@JabzyJoe8 жыл бұрын
+Cynical Historian Afraid not. I really don't understand what's going on. For instance the video on the Opium wars was unmonetized for a while, but is now monetized and some of the reuploads are still monetized. However, it keeps changing and the majority of my videos are still unmonetized. Has it affected your videos?
@CynicalHistorian8 жыл бұрын
Yeah it has. I did one called 'funny wars' and it hasn't been hit, but everything else of my 'wars you've never heard of' has been. Maybe it's because the funny wars one is newer. I don't get it! Google has been unresponsive on this too.
@JabzyJoe8 жыл бұрын
+Cynical Historian Yeah, they haven't got back in touch with me either and yesterday even more videos are no longer monetized. I still can't wrap my head around the videos they target though. The Napoleonic wars, Hundred years war, War of 1812 and the likes aren't monetized but the Spanish Conquest of the Incas, Cuban Revolution and First Crusade are. So I'm not sure how and why they're picked.
@CynicalHistorian8 жыл бұрын
Maybe we just have to avoid the word "War" in the description
@JabzyJoe8 жыл бұрын
+Cynical Historian I don't think its so simple because the Mithridatic Wars, First Scottish War of Independence, the Great Northern War and a few others are still monetized. But the Boxer Rebellion is not. So, my only guess is there must be some sort of program that checks for keywords, similar to how they would for music. I'm not at all good with computers, so that's only a guess. But I've reuploaded with no tags or description and it is still hit by this. If that is the case I think our only solution would be to get ridiculously popular, because those youtubers seem to get away with it somehow, or just make videos talking about our hair or doing 'challenges.'

One thing not mentioned was that many of those who fled Castro and those who were imprisoned or killed were slave owners under Bautista. The revoloution could have continued and been successful if the US didn't shut off trade leading to Cuba seeking relations with Russia and then ruining the whole thing. Could have been great
@carsoneastman57098 жыл бұрын
The revolution would not have succeeded. Putting Che in charge of economics was a huge mistake. Plus, they didn't want to deal with the US, they only dealt with other communist communities. Eventually Che stopped buying weapons from the USSR because they weren't communist enough. He hit up China and they said "We won't sell you weapons because we don't sell to our friends" and they proceeded to gift weapons. The real problem that the revolution had was ideology. If you aren't obsessed with the cause and if you don't conform with the group think, you're executed.

@@dlf7789 Media sources from colleges, news, and many other sources who are left sided. Me, as an actual Cuban lived in Communist Cuba; I know what he has done. Ima give you 5 atrocities he has done and you may look this up or you may actually talk to a un-brainwashee Cuban and understand from him/her. Fidel Castros kill count media says was close to 10,000 but it's actually closer to the 100,000s. Armando Lago is a Harvard-trained economist who spent many years studying exactly what the revolution cost the Cuban people. Lago equated that 78,000 people died trying to flee dictatorship while 5300 are known to have lost their lives fighting for communism in the Bay of Pigs and Escambray Mountains. Adding onto these already astronomical numbers, 14,000 were killed in Fidel Castro’s revolutionary adventures abroad and he ordered 50,000 soldiers to fight alongside a 1980s Soviet-backed regime in Angola. Despite these huge numbers people are still mourning the death of Fidel Castro, their reason is understandably complicated not to mention his war crimes and executions. Fidel had his own firing squads and concentration camps, you can actually see pictures WITH THE FIRING SQUAD AND him at the concentration camp... you can't deny that, these infamous firing squads are referred to as “el paredon” or “the wall” and every type of person, young or old, was sent to the firing squad. Fidel and his compadres would simply execute any person that disagreed with their betrayal of the Revolution. Once Fidel Castro came into power in Cuba Jehovah’s Witnesses were considered “social deviants” alongside vagrants and homosexuals. During a portion of the 1960’s all Jehovah’s Witnesses were sent to UMAPS camps to be “re-educated”. By July 1, 1974 all Jehovah’s Witnesses were officially banned and every church was closed. Many Jehovah’s Witnesses across Cuba began to rebel against Castro after their religion was banned by the revolutionary. Those that celebrated the faith refused to serve in the military, thus being jailed for up to two years. It is also reported that the children of many Jehovah’s Witnesses refused to salute the flag, causing sometimes violent repercussions. This religious sect is often persecuted and Jehovah’s Witnesses in Benin, Bulgaria, Canada, Eritrea, Germany, India, and more places tended to find suffering at every turn. Fidel Castro did not appreciate the celebration of religion in his state, whether it was Catholicism or Jehovah’s Witnesses. Is that it? No. In some of his earliest records Fidel Castro has spoken about his absolute hate of homosexuals. He even believed that the “deviancy” of homosexuality makes them unable to be true revolutionaries and as such all homosexuals were sent away to UMAPS camps alongside Jehovah’s Witnesses and vagrants. In 1965 police began rounding up gay men which sparked one of the first gay rights protests in history. The persecution of gay Cubans inspired the United States activist group the Mattachine society to hold protests for two straight days in front of the White House and the United Nations, these were the very first gay rights protests to date. This was one of a couple practices that Fidel Castro brought over to Cuba from Nazi Germany. Even after UMAPS closed homosexual people were generally fired from their jobs and treated like beasts instead of men. Fidel Castro has even referred to homosexual men as “worms” in his time in power. He is evil, alot of similaritys to Hitler especially during his childhood. If you disagree with facts and records, you are brainwashed.

It's much better off than it was under that dictatorship. The US has done everything it can to sanction and stunt Cuba's economy, and after the USSR fell, it lost a huge portion of it's trading partners. I have met many Cubans and they all mention how much they loved Castro for what he did for them. Cuba is much better off than many other Latin American countries as well. Unless you are rich yourself, you are a deluded fool to support Capitalism. The US is a corporate Oligarchy, not a Democratic Republic. It;s run by greedy rich people who don't give a flying shit about anyone but themselves, and exploit everyone around them to increase their own standard of living. The whole reason the US hated Cuba's socialist programs (ie. supporting medical and educational services, and nationalizing land) is because it runs contrary to the US's policy of fucking the poor and middle classes over as much as possible to make a quick buck. They don't want their own citizenry realizing how much better they could have it if things were done differently. Read a book, and stop spouting whatever you here on right-wing propaganda sites. They are not preaching anything that is in your best interests.

🇨🇺✊My grandpa was a retired Sergeant in the Cuban Revolutionary Army he was Medically Discharged after he purposely injured himself acting like he was blind in training knowing that he would be deployed to the civil war in Angola Africa, he didn’t really believe in Communism but he was drafted, but 2 of my uncles were drafted into the Cuban Army after both of them graduating High School at 17 years old, and they were a bit pro communist as they were brainwashed by the Cuban Communist propaganda, 1 of them that is 1 years older then my other uncle was also Medically discharged after his ear blew off he couldn’t hear in 1 ear, and his hip was blown off by a mortar shell near by in February of 1990 then 2 years in a half later the Civil War in Angola ended as a Communist defeat in 1991 since the Soviet Union collapsed, the story was told to me which by him he still lives in Cuba we still visit him, my other uncle was fighting for 1 whole year until the Civil War in Angola ended, then my Grandpa, and Uncle escaped Cuba after that in a boat with his friends, he landed in Miami, Florida USA, but his child which was my dad still lived in Cuba, but my grandfather gave him a Visa when my dad was 18 I was a Baby, so he, and I went to Spain, then migrated to the USA, im forever grateful to live in the USA, ima pay that gratefulness to be the first one in my family to join the US Military after I graduate from my JROCT High School, this year I already met up with a US Army recruiter.🇺🇸🫡🙏 CUBA LIBRE, Vida Y Patria!🇨🇺✊❤️🩹 El comunismo fuera de Mi Pueblo Santiago De Cuba!
