I am just now getting back into reloading after 30 plus years and aspiring F Class shooter. Since watching almost every video Erik has produced I have learned that not only is the rifle, cartridge , and scope I chose are not even going to make me competitive! Warren Pages’ book the Accurate Rifle is what drew me to reloading to begin with. There is a good and bad news for me. Bad I have to start saving for the custom action, barrel, stock, and perhaps another scope. The good is taking what I have learned through your videos like this and applying your techniques to my non-competitive ammo so when I get that custom rifle I will be ready to be competitive. Thank you Erik!

Erik , when you catch Jack again for that brass prep vid , maybe start him with trim length : 2019 WBC in Calgary , the center of his reloading table held Giraud power trimmer that he was not the only one to use ...I also wonder if Jack has come to the side of the Force where people anneal ( AMP ) their cases , and if so , how often ( each evening in matches ? ) . I wonder if he pushes up to testing bullet seating force with the AMP press - like i do for short range BR ... Jack tought clinics with great neck wall thickness vs chamber clearance advice .

Love your videos, some people need milk, I need meat. Meat in new ideas, thoughts, I have only had one rifle that I could move a bullet, 1 bullet hole to the left or right. I'm working on another though. I see where you got the idea for a tuner. Good idea. I will have to test your idea of creating a load for different parts of the day. I think it can be done if you know the weather pattern and it doesn't change in the middle of a shoot, like a thunderstorm rolls in. But.... it will effect everyone else's shot group too :)

@johnkennedy63312 жыл бұрын
Great series; I've really enjoyed and learned a lot listening to you and Jack. Speaking of F-Class' "Spirit of the Game", did the rules change concerning lifting the rifle out of the rest? Another way of asking... can you close the ears of your front bag in around your tapered foreend?
@ErikCortina2 жыл бұрын
No, weight limit rule hasn't changed. Most think the rule is that rule must be able to lift out of the rifle, but in reality what happens is that if rifle comes up with rest, then it means they are attached and the weight of the rest must be added to the rifle. That will put you over the limit and disqualified. :)

Bench rest costs money, how well can you afford to shoot?
@planeurable2 жыл бұрын
true ! BR is expansive ! Especially if you buy a brand new rifle and don't listen to advices from a knowledgeable mentor , or shoot industrial grade bullets , or don't clean properly, or bring your wife at this 6 days match and leave her with the car and credit cards etc ...i mean , you are right , it is close to sacerdotal to make the most of your investment , in this sport like in many others . Benchrest is cheaper than other sports though , like aviation or sailing yachts , racing cars . It might be cheaper than smoking, junkfooding or a divorce too .
