Those pearls might be knock offs to natural South Sea Pearls, but cheap they're not. They're obviously cultivated, and have nice nacre to them. •⚪️•⚪️•⚪️•⚪️•⚪️•⚪️•⚪️• (Nacre meaning layers of mother of pearl. The longer you leave the inserted core bead in the pearl oyster shell, the thicker and shinier the nacre....).

I've heard that the Cartier watch was purchased by Jackie after JFK's death. The stem had a small emerald. She wore the watch during her self-imposed year of mourning for her late husband. I have also heard and read that Jackie Kennedy didn't own any real pearls. The iconic 3-strand necklace was faux pearls because she had small children at the time. She let John-John play with the necklace because it was not made of real pearls.

Oh come on! The famous triple strand of pearls was FAKE! The auction catalogue specifies that they are not real or cultured. The necklace was purchased by the Franklin Mint and knocked off and offered for sale to anyone willing to pay 15 times what Jackie probably paid for the originals at the jewelry counter of some random department store. Simple Google search folks.
