As of 2022 ('23 now), Rachel Robinson is 100 years old. Jackie Robinson died on October 24, 1972 at the age of 53, nearly seven months after his former teammate, Gil Hodges, who died April 2 at the age of 47, two days before his 48th birthday. RIP legends.

I live a few houses down from his childhood home in Pasadena California there’s a plaque on the sidewalk that marks the landmark as well

Boy, what I wouldn't give to be able to take a tour of Jackie's former residence. And what I wouldn't give to take in a game at Ebbets Field, Dodgers vs Giants-Jackie Robinson against Willie Mays. Unfortunately there's no such thing as a time machine. Sigh.
