As a convenience store manager, that gas clip made me irrationally angry. Get out of your car, get off your phone and pay attention. DO NOT LEAVE PUMP UNATTENDED is a universal rule, those auto shutoffs have never been 100% effective
@TaniDraws2 жыл бұрын
How do the pumps there even work (I'm from the Netherlands, here the gas won't flow when you aren't squeezing the trigger, and there's auto shut-off). Do you just.. put it in and it starts going?
@jomics2 жыл бұрын
Was looking for a comment like this. The amount of idiots who put the pump in and immediately jump in the car is upsetting. You stand there and watch it no matter the weather.
@umphreak99992 жыл бұрын
@@TaniDraws no, once the pumps activated there's a handle you squeeze to pump the gas. There's a latch you can set that'll keep the handle in place and it's supposed to automatically click off once the tank is full but at best it works like 95-97% of the time
@romimime77132 жыл бұрын
@Tania It does exist in the Netherlands (I also live there). It's a little metal clip on the handle (the latch as @Umphreak999 mentioned) and it's on as good as every pump handle here. It just really often happens that its defect and doesn't stay on, and I've never ever before seen someone put it on and then leave. A few seconds of switching to tiktok was when I heard it. … 0:00 I shat bricks and have never paused a tiktok faster in my life. So, to answer your question at 7:00 , Sloths survive thanks to having a unique symbiotic relationship with algae. You see, sloths live their life in the slow lane, so much so that algae will actually grow one and IN their fur, however this doesn't bother the sloth at all. In fact, it helps them hide from predators by making them look like a big clump of Lichen on a tree. Now, of course, it's not perfect and Harpy Eagles will often pick off any sloth they can find (key word being IF) and if a Jaguar or Caiman were to come across a sloth moving between trees or down for it one month allotted bathroom break, then they would bat an eye at the meal too. Now for Koalas, no, there really isn't anything out their hunting for koala, and that because their second hand poisonousness. Guess That's the benefit of eating nothing but the literally worst food you could choose to eat.
@duckatron21722 жыл бұрын
Koalas do have predators in Pythons, Dingoes/ wild dogs. Not it mention the chlamydia issue. Also their food is toxic, not them. They’re also fairly quick and can be aggressive.
@fatalisblack72132 жыл бұрын
@@duckatron2172 Koalas are very toxic due to their diet of eucalyptus (that's what I'm referring to when I mention second hand poisonous). Their bodies are chock-full of eucalyptol toxin that will quickly ruin the day of any would be predators. And yeah, a young dingo might decide to munch on a grounded koala, but it's a mistake they might not live long enough to regret.
@duckatron21722 жыл бұрын
@@fatalisblack7213 Having been witness to one be taken down and eaten by dingoes I disagree there. They lived to tell the tale and according to the residents where they were it’s not a regular thing but does happen. They were also eaten by First Nations pre colonisation, although they’re not a choice food now given their rank taste and protection status. I definitely wouldn’t choose koala over beef ha.

That intro reminded me of one of Felix’s, where he gives the options of left, below, and right then jumps out of the cabinet.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how his setup is mainly dark colors and a little bit of yellow light and the blue sign and Jack is perfectly matching with a black hoodie with yellow/orange strings and ofc blue eyes. This probably isn't intentional but it is so damn pleasing

Fun animal facts of the day 1: kolas otherwise known as drop bears will attack people from above they are really mean and the claws are sharp as heck 2: sloths can't move much fast but the can flail there arm around, there claws can gut small animals in one swipe This is why nothing messes with either of these animals

I’ve watched and rewatched and even tried giving it a few days to watch again and I STILL fail to understand why the clip at 2:18 is so funny. That was a cruel prank. Why is it funny to go this far out of your way to tell someone “I bought you this home”, give them keys and everything and make them start crying with happiness only to be like “ha ha, gotcha” Like, I don’t get why that guy gets the “what a legend” reaction for doing that to his brother. I’ve been homeless before and I would straight up disown anyone who did that to me. Wtf

The gas one was insane, most vehicles/pumps have a sensor that will snap the gas off when your tanks full, idk how they managed that lmao
@kryptofreak40592 жыл бұрын
That's actually happened to me before, at a pump that I had used before and never had issues with. Came out of the store with my soda and found like 3 gallons of gas on the ground. Sometimes things just don't work the way they're supposed to.
