That means that she should have some class and maturity, right? Remake Ashley looks and presents herself like she’s in an esteemed Sorority for wealthy and privileged ladies. Groomed for success and good social standing long before her father’s term. More importantly, she felt like she was part of Leon’s TEAM, and wasn’t a burden. She and Leon could even hold a conversation together, and seemed to really get along. She was almost his equal, and has the potential for the heroics that he pulled off-even without his training. With Remake Ashley, I actually cared about her and would love to see a timeskip DLC where she’s a trained professional doing missions like Leon. Meanwhile, OG Ashley was just an underdeveloped piece of eye candy at best, and a shrill annoyance to “save” at worst.

I do get Ashley can be extremely annoying at times but cut her some slack, she's the 20 year old daughter of an extremely rich politician that's now the president, Leon has combat, police, and now special ops training so he actually knows how to handle a crisis, Ashley was kidnapped in a foreign country by a cult, has probably never held a gun let alone been around one when it's being fired, has to put absolute trust in a person she's never met before, and is surrounded by parasite monsters, you'd probably not be the most mentally calm and stable person either in this situation

And her body is probably currently in pain since she's infected with a parasite that's growing massive. Our bodies do have some very rudimentary defenses against parasites, but ultimately that can't do shit, especially for something that triples in size over hours. Which is also why the villagers are basically also mostly checked out, having something that massive in them is probably incredibly painful to the point where they just die and become puppets long before the parasite even pops out of them.
