@MXP90DL That whole decade it was incredible to think in the beginning we still had he beatles! And too much talent to list. Incredible. Music will never see again! We actually earned money bought tickets, bought records. No download. If you wanted to have the #1 song people had to get to a stroe and ringbup sales. None of this beyonce crap drop an album on line overnight. Then complain you didn't get enough grammys for some crap recording with autotune. I went to general admission concerts. With fascinating musicians, who played, wrote, sang, performed. Did it all. Great times!!

It was Glenn Frey & J.D. Souther who lived in the apartment above Jackson Brown when they were playing music as a duo called “Longbranch Pennywhistle” Don Henley & Glen Frey weren’t roommates until after that. When Jackson Browne was writing this song, he got stuck with writers block half way through it, so he asked Glenn Frey to help him finish it. So it was Jackson Browne AND Glenn Frey who wrote “Take it easy.” 🎶🎸😎💕👍

This was really great to see. Not only is this the original lineup of the Eagles (Randy Meisner, Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon), but that's Don Felder, guitarist extraordinaire in the back. Then Leadon does the lead guitar part -- pretty well, too -- instead of Felder. (Leadon played lead on the original song by the Eagles.) Add to all that Linda Ronstadt and Jackson Browne, and it was really great to see. What a show!

I graduated high school in 1981 and saw some the greatest rock bands ever live. I never saw the Eagles, Jackson Browne or Linda Rondstat. This was epic and was surprised that in a class of about 20 students 1/2 of them appreciated the bands that were featured in the documentary. I asked how they became familiar with 70-80’s rock and they said from their parents vintage vinyl. Long live rock and roll 🎸

Yes sir...but watch Felder laying back in the background...not one solo or fill licks...just a very solid strumming pattern..letting Bernie do his thing...other than the editing/director who kept cutting away to the audience just when one of the band was in a close up...great clip/historical for sure..thanks for posting JB

So much hair and masters of their craft. I am afraid this era of popular music is gone forever. Now it is drum machines, auto tune and self indulgent blathering, Glad we have this old stuff recorded.

An era when music was, well, really music and not some kind of a computer programme.

Incredible harmonies made that band famous--- that and a bit of country in the rock they did early on when Country was being discovered by the young .

Oh boy, this takes me back. Tripping coastwise, weekends in the country, houseparties, smoking under the avocado & mango trees at Hobbitsville, after early morning surf Durban side. They may take our years but never those times. And now the 'rewind hutton doesn't work'. 🤣

Linda was so great, she put the Eagles together as her backing band. And Jackson Browne gave his apartment neighbour Glen Frey this song he had started to write.

Can you believe how much would be involved in getting that much talent on one tv show stage today?
