Actually there are historical records that prove that Jesus Christ, The Son of God, walked the earth. From about 33:21 to around 33:34, Aliet points to another writer's 'evidence' that there are no historical records to show proof Jesus' existence but such records do exist. The historian Josephus documented this in his records.

Great content from Jacob! And as a scholar I believe he will also agree to disagree [good to know he's a skeptic]. In that regard, a true scholar will know to refrain from denying the existence of Jesus as all researchers have come to one conclusion, Jesus [as a person] is not a myth - he actually existed. There are lots of roman [and other] records to prove it, and that's why Jesus has never been wished away. Otherwise, he would have been forgotten a long time ago as his true teachings are usually not so liked by those in power - not the manipulated ones. Let him keep reading about it.

That’s an interesting perspective isaacmathewajuaga, and I appreciate the depth of your insight! Indeed, Jesus’ existence is widely acknowledged by historians, and it’s fascinating how his influence has endured despite opposition throughout history. I think Jacob would appreciate diving deeper into this topic, especially since he seems to approach things with a critical yet open mind. Encouraging more reading and exploration on the subject is always a great way to expand understanding.

Great content...please do more episodes on unplugged...I understand its a book but you can still monetize versions of unplug with videos as episodes 30-45mins? I am more of a video content consumer than a book reader I cant hardly concentrate with books😅

Thank you so much for the feedback and the suggestion! I really appreciate your enthusiasm for more content around Unplugged. I understand the appeal of video content-it's a great way to engage with stories in a different format. I’ll definitely consider creating episodes or video versions that expand on the book’s themes

Thanks @seanagandi for your comment! It’s interesting that you noticed similarities with The Rational Male by Rollo Tomassi. While ideas may overlap across different works, each author brings their unique perspective and experiences to the conversation. What are your thoughts on how Aliet’s take compares to Tomassi’s? Would love to hear your perspective!

@@WhatsOnYourShelf His interpretation of the Gospel accounts, in relation to the historical books or historians of that period, is somewhat limited. Many people and texts provide insight into the events of that time. For instance, during the reign of Emperor Tiberius, in the 15th year of his rule (which corresponds to approximately 27 AD), Jesus was baptized, a detail mentioned both in the Bible (Luke 3:1, 3:23) and by historical writers like the Jewish historian Flavius Josephus in his Antiquities of the Jews (Book 18, Chapter 3). These historical references help corroborate the biblical narrative, providing a broader context for understanding the events of Christ's life.
