Congrats to Jacob Kiplimo! What a smooth runner with perfect form, he made it look effortless. Image how much faster he could go on a course without that nasty hill. Nonetheless, I hope he continues to run this beautiful course every year.

Still didn't manage to beat his 15km split time of 40.27 en route to his half marathon world record (at the time) in Lisbon back in November 2021. It must be the slightly hilly course that slowed him down here.

This guy needs to run against kejelcha in the half and full marathon on the faster marathons with pacers. Pretty sure they can hire a couple of elite pacers who can maintain a 59 minute half of a marathon to set them up for who can break the WR by more.

40:42 on a course that hilly is incredible. I just want him to take back his half marathon WR. He also went out ridiculously in Lisbon. If he had good pacers he could have gone 57'20 or slightly faster. And i agree. This is the smoothest he's looked. I believe that Copenhagen half marathon was rusty, considering he hadn't raced a half marathon in a while.

This event is called the zevenheuvelen loop, which literally translates to the seven hills run. The last 3k is all downhill, but the first 5 is pretty much all uphill and there's very little flat road between 5k and 11k. It's almost all either up or down.
