I usually vote labour but this man is making a lot of sense to me. Finally found a Tory I like.

Have you considered libertarianism/classical liberalism?
@GG-qn1uo6 жыл бұрын
The definitions are something I'm relatively unsure about, who's an example of a libertarian?
@StargateAdventures6 жыл бұрын
Gallagator Daniel Hannan is a classical liberal, Yaron Brook is an objectivist, Rand Paul or Ron Paul were Libertarians
@GG-qn1uo6 жыл бұрын
I agree with Dan Hannan on a lot of thing, though I'll have to find a bit more content to listen to I suppose.

No: sickness pay, holiday pay, employers can pay whatever they seem fit, disabled money cut..no workers rights...

This man speaks so much sense on so many things, he is someone I would definitely get behind for a push for PM. Great stuff Mr Rees-Mogg

JRM is clearly the full package. This man represents the best of Somerset, England and the United kingdom. Let's not waste the one of the few in parliament who represents the views, feeling and will of the majority in this land. This man must be PM

This man speaks so much sense. Freedom of Speech is already on its way out and it must be defended at all costs. The only real way to know what is really going on is via KZbin.

An impassioned speech, but we do not have a constitutional right to freedom of speech in the UK, many believe we have it implicitly but I do not believe it is codified. If it were then surely the ludicrous amount of time the UK constabulary seem to be spending on social media now would be moot, and would perhaps enable them to prioritise actual crimes over mean tweets and Nazi pugs.
@bylindawyatt6 жыл бұрын
Gravitas Lost I agree. Last time I was in UK, I had police come to my home and roust me up at 6am to follow up on a report that I had a disagreement or argument. Actually the previous evening I vaguely recalled a brief difference of opinion during normal conversation. The person in discussion with me the previous evening had casually mentioned our meeting to his sister and she reported it to the police. This was not a report of a hostile exchange, no harsh words, no raised voices, no fear, or threat It was only reported that we had a disagreement. So, I advised the officers to go to Parliament if they want to arrest people for this; plenty of argument there. And, even academic debate is based on an "argument." I then asked if they were having a disagreement with me. Point being that there are freedoms you may believe you have as a matter of course but are not actually codified, as you said, and in fact there are laws that severely impact freedom in the UK and should be overturned as archaic and dangerous. I left the UK a few days later and don't feel safe returning without protection and basic rights.

I absolutely love this guy! his message is clear and undeniably true. he's a fantastic politician and one that truly works for the public by saying things other Daren't or wouldn't. this guy needs to be heard more and I'll be voting conservative to ensure his views and voice are heard more and more. we cannot live in a world where fear of reprisal stops people from telling the truth.

2:40 that's 1st amendment, not 2nd, Moggsy! Otherwise, spot on. 👍
@johnnyfan38trillion646 жыл бұрын
he was saying that america valued the 2nd amendment to oppose a government that would infringe upon the 1st amendment.
@triggerhippy28266 жыл бұрын
Jacob old chap, Hate to "nitt-pick" but I think you'll find it was the first amendment to the US Constitution that ensures freedom of speech. The 2nd is the right to bear arms and form a well disciplined militia to ensure against governmental tyranny. Otherwise bloody good speech sir.
@johnnyfan38trillion646 жыл бұрын
posted this earlier, but this is what i interpreted it as: he was saying that america valued the 2nd amendment to oppose a government that would infringe upon the 1st amendment.

I suspect Mr. Mosely is correct in his assessment of the increase in diseases we have long kept in check within these islands, so sorry JRM, I am not with you on that one. Nor am I in agreement with allowing and encouraging, without good reason, people from alien cultures whose practices and religions mean that they will have great difficulty, or in fact no actual desire, to integrate with the indigenous populace or abide by their laws.

Freedom of speech is set forth in the first amendment to the American constitution, not in its second amendment (which addresses the subordination of militias to the state and citizens’ right to bear arms). Just a correction to what Mr. Rees Mogg said.
@randomsouthern39196 жыл бұрын
1st Amendment Mr. Mogg. 2nd Amendment guarantees the right to bear arms.
