Great job on this one! (Julia fox reviews & interview is still my favorite but this was fantastic!) who knew Jada was so fascinating?! I wish Will was more… kind to her on the day 2day.

I really hope Jada sees this video because boy does she need someone to deliver the hard truths. But a part of me thinks if she can go thru the process of writing this whole book and still not realise she needs to leave Will and move on then theres no getting thru to her. So sad.

I just watched clips of Jada’s interview with Drew Barrymore and it really felt all over the place. Then she said they were never getting divorced “we tried”.

I loved the audiobook for Worthy and agreed with most of the review. This book + Will’s book showed me that Will was the bigger problem and it’s disheartening to see that Jada’s always vilified even though the evidence is right there to show that Will isn’t a Victim

I think everyone is forgetting Jada was extremely predatory to August (her son's friend) who was dealing with mental illness during that time. Will is not a saint but Jada should be criticized.

I was working at the D & G showroom in NYC in the summer of 1995 and Tupac called from jail (collect). I panicked and hung up on him lol. About an hour later my boss asked "Did Tupac call?? I lied and said "no". So cringe.

Ok, I know relationships take work and aren’t ever perfect (I’m married and totally get that), but it feels like the “work” for her with Will is more like torturous hard labor 😂 Marriage can have rough patches, but it seems like their entire marriage is a rough patch and looking for other men to fulfill what your husband isn’t giving you like empathy and happiness is a giant red flag! When the pain of staying is greater than the pain of leaving, that’s your sign that it’s time to leave! And in that situation, leaving is not a failure, it’s the smart thing to do!

I feel like she just transferred her love and loyalty to the streets to Will. I'd say it was the trauma response to Tony leaving that led to her deciding loyalty was everything. She has to ride or die bad marriage for life.

I really liked the book but I could do without the philosophy quotes at the end and the beginning of every chapter. Just tell your story.

No offense, but I think you have the manipulator and the manipulated roles in this relationship reversed. I didn’t expect you to tackle this book with absolute objectivity; however, I turn my head for a moment, and you’re downing the kool-aid like it’s tequila shots in Cancun. I think those with lies to tell and secrets to keep will try to get their version out first, and in a manner that is anything but subtle. She is fine not getting married to Will, not even really wanting it, and yet she climbs onto her own roof and jumps into the pool, an act that is overly dramatic, dangerous, and actually likely a symptom of an underlying mental condition, all because he told her he would always have a relationship with his child’s other parent, which is a completely reasonable position to take if you are putting the child’s happiness first. That is just one example of many where this autobiography or memoir reads more like a sorry attempt at a PR campaign, along with some questionable parenting techniques as well as lame excuses for her personal failings. She had no problem getting y’all to bite by victimizing herself while tapping into your shared femininity. I’m not sure if it is simple naivety or outright bias, but some critical thinking might open you both up to other interpretations that more closely fit their very public actions and statements. Thank you for your upload, take care and stay golden.
