@solajayi6551 I already got to test-drive the car. I drove the AWD model. For me, the air conditioning is okay, but that's because I set it to the lowest temperature and the blower at level 3, not even half of the maximum limit. I think if we set it to 22°C like I always do when I drive CR-V, that car might struggle to cool down. I need to try testing it again and set the temperature to what I usually do. There's no turbo lag, but I think the acceleration calibration might be a bit off because you feel this when you go from a stop to accelerate, but when you're already moving, you don't feel it. The sound insulation is good for its segment. I also found the volume button on the screen, you have to slide the volume like on an Android phone, so for me, this is one of the designs that I don't like since there's no physical knob for volume and air conditioning. I also didn't get to test all the features during the test drive because I was asking a lot of questions about the screen infotainment and center screen, as well as about the warranty necaise that my real concerns especially china screen. What I got from the SA is that the warranty for all parts is about 3 years including the centre and infotainment screen in the car, except for wear and tear. The engine has a 10-year warranty because of the early bird promotion, and the gearbox has a 7-year warranty. I hope this information helps.
@harizfadhilah6488
@harizfadhilah6488 2 ай бұрын
@solajayi6551 I didn't experience any turbo lag during the test drive. What others mentioned might be the slight jerkiness when you first start moving. Once you're in motion, pedaling is smooth and the car responds as it should. The driving experience is not as floaty as the CR-V (the model before the new one), which is good when handling rough roads. During my test drive, the SA also asked me to drive to a rural area with gravel roads, and I was quite impressed with the car's performance. My only concern is about spare parts. If I buy this car, I intend to use it for more than five years because I'm tired of taking out car loans. I'm wondering about the availability of spare parts once the car is old and no longer in production. With Japanese cars, even after ten years of a new model's introduction, you can still find spare parts at the service center because they often use the same parts for newer models(based on my experience using car more then ten years). Ultimately, the decision is yours. If you plan to use the car for about five years and then trade it in, spare parts might not be a significant issue. However, I have reservations because Chinese car brands tend to release new models frequently, making older models obsolete due to the high production rate. As a result, older parts may not be readily available at service centers.

I already make a booking before testing.. so I might reconsider again.. if really want to commit. The X70 facelift is outdated technology from 2018, which is six years behind the current market. How does Proton expect to compete with the Jaecoo 7, which has outperformed it, unless Proton introduces the new Geely Boyue L as the new X70
@shampain7746

This cars looks amazing, now I'm eagerly waiting for the Jaecoo J7 Hybrid, it has all the things that I want in a hybrid to be honest. Motor and engine can be used to propel the car, the option to run either individually or in tandem, and the option to charge the battery and/or fuel the car with petrol (of course la) and a high ground clearance. Many traits which Perodua and by extension Toyota and Daihatsu can't offer at this price range. (drop diesel and the Hilux and Fortuner becomes irrelevant) Also hopefully Jaecoo sees this, I NEED FABRIC SEATS. Who in their right minds want a leather seat in this scorching humid climate (what to do, top spec all leather). Europe, Japan, China are all places with generally colder climates than Malaysia, makes sense to put leather for insulation purposes. But in Malaysia, it serves no better purpose than fabric seats besides the glamor of being able to afford the hide of an animal that will wrinkle horribly over the years.
@FrankiePo89
@FrankiePo89 2 ай бұрын
Genuine leather will actually cool down faster than fabric after a sun bath.
@shampain7746
@shampain7746 2 ай бұрын
@@FrankiePo89 Yes it "cools faster" because it doesn't even absorb much heat in the first place, maintaining a more constant temperature within the cushion, so the perceived temperature feels lower than a fabric, thus proving it's insulation properties. Car makers are now offering perforated leather seats for cooling/heating in various countries. But the upside of leather seats is it is easier to clean compared to fabric, nothing more, maybe less.

I’ll take leather seats and trims any day of the year over fabric. Doesnt smell bad if get dirty, easier to clean, nice feeling to the skin. The upside of it being much easier to maintain over the fabrics beats to have to deal with a hot seating for brief amount of time.
@shampain7746
@shampain7746 2 ай бұрын
@@MH-is7eu No problem, to each their own & their reasoning. Fabric seats reign superior to me for it's ability to hold me and my clothes in place with minimal sliding for my drives and absorb the gungho heat from my back after every Genting climb, not forgetting it's ability to acclimatise with my body temperature - which prevents any discomfort that comes from an insulator on my back throughout the day in KL traffic. Also, what is there to feel nice on the skin? There's a reason why clothing companies always market their clothing materials as 100% cotton, and not 100% leather 😂 The only things we like being leather are shoes (which is worn over a cotton sock), belts (which is worn over a cotton pants/denim jeans and wallets (inside a cloth pocket).
