That is the summer charging curve for warm weather... if you have the battery a little warmer at start of charging, the drop in the middle will be much smaller and the car will charge even a little faster. This is also valid for the older models 😉

Hi @kris, Why do you use the WLTP range to calculate the km/h charging speed and not use your own (more realistic?) data?

Because WLTP is more standardized and available for all cars.

We have a 2019 I-pace and are trying to charge the car faster. Is the speed of charging a function of the car or it’s menu system or the function of the actual wall charger? Can you please advise us as to how we can speed up the charging time?

i charged my late 2020 (early face lift) ipace for the 1st time at a fast charger to test. admittedly i did not precondition the car and i was at over 60% at the start, but i was shocked to see at a 175kwh shell fast charger it only charged at 35-37kwh for the 15 mins i tried it. I can live with under 100kwh - even 50kwh i could stomach, but less than that could be a real issue on a holiday road trip. its the only area the car has underperformed in for me. i asked at the main dealer if it is a fault and they confirmed its usual for the car :(

it is kind of unacceptable that, in 2021, a car of this price can't charge at 150kW+ and go from 10-80% SOC in half an hour, or less. Jaguar has been really doing a poor job at updating the two major flaws of this car, that is infotainment and charging speed.

Has there been a hardware change on the 2021 I-PACE or is this a software update? Can a 2019 I-PACE charge this fast?

Im a fan of smaller wheels and larger tyre profile but have to say them wheels just look wrong , nice vid Kris. looking forward to when you get hold of an Ioniq 5 or the Kia EV6 for testing
