My father has owned 4 Jaguars since 2012, he bought a 2010 xfr in black. We were a family of four, and it was a family race car lol! We did 300km/hr the whole way through Saskatchewan on a road trip from BC to manitoba. We went from kelowna to penticton (45 min drive) in 20 minutes, down a windy curvy mountain highway. The jaguar handled so well on road, and it was a show piece wherever we went. It beat gallardo's, Audi r8's, corvettes, mustang's and mopar cars, everything, it walked on everything!!

I have the 2014 (facelift) XFR. As a complete car nut, I’ve owned plenty of ‘fast version’ Beemers, Audis, an Alfa, even a 911. The XFR is UNBELIEVABLE!! I will never sell it, even if they try and outlaw petrol! Yeah the M5 might arguably handle better, on a race track….. but who the hell drives a road car on a racetrack regularly? The noise of the V8 exhaust (I’ve upgraded to the Quicksilver system) and the whine of the Supercharger is heaven. On a quiet A-road / dual carriageway, it’s driving bliss. It’ll purr along at 70 with barely any throttle, shove your foot down and it goes into hyperdrive. I can’t think of many other understated cars. For a decent sized saloon, there’s no understeer (as far as I can see and I’ve taken some rather fast corners in it) either. I bought a one owner, full JLR service history in the dark grey (almost black) grey alloys, red callipers. Looks gorgeous (to me at least). I paid £22k over two years ago. I’ve had three offers from guys who want to buy it. Apart from JLR service costs and around 20mpg, it’s behaved impeccably to date. HUGE ‘smiles per miles’ and it’s great to leave a Tesla behind. One of the only cars I tap and smile at when I get out.

In the metal the Jag is by far the prettiest of the big 4-doors. It might not be the best, most technologically modern, or ostentation of the Germans, but it's definitely the one with the soul.

I recently was in front of a 5 series through customs in my XF and was waved through while he was stopped. I thought, is that because I'm in my Jaaaag :)

@suamipelle don't forget that it still is a saloon with a front engine... it's fast in a straight line but "struggles" to be as sharp as sportscars such as ferrari, porsche etc through corners...
