This. I got two counterfeit Xbox 360 controllers that were represented as being official. I requested a return and selected "Item not as described" for both of them, along with pictures and an explanation of how I knew they were counterfeit. The seller offered a discount but I refused it. Then, eBay gives you a free shipping label to print off and once they see it's delivered, they refund you. I also reported the listing and it was gone within 24 hours.

I bought an MP36 Megatron from eBay. I paid slightly under the regular retail price and was super excited. MP36 Megatron has become super hard to find and is an incredible figure. I waited a few weeks and when I came home from work one day, my dad told me there was a package for me!! I rushed to my room and found an envelope with a sliver of cardboard in it. If you get scammed on eBay, you can demand one of two things: The original item you were promised Or your money back I wanted that scamming fucker to go through hell trying to find me a real one, but after a few days a gave me my money back.

Best way to check for eBay scammers is the account’s feedback, if the feedback is bad, or missing, it’s more likely that the account is brand new (likely a scam) or has scammed people before. Usually just buy things from people with great feedback if you want more assurance in what you are buying is legit and high quality.
