I think you’re both right. While Sansa is the lady, it seems off that she should be jealous. Yet, I think there is a hint of it there. All three have gone through so much yet on the outside Arya and Bran seem much stronger than Sansa. Especially when you factor in the Leech Littlefinger constantly instilling doubt in Sansa. In a way Bran and Arya got to fulfill their “childhood dreams”… Bran always loved stories and always loved to explore. He’s practically been everywhere and knows everything now. Arya wasn’t a lady. She was wild. And liked fighting skills. She trained with the 1st Sword and The Faceless Men. Sansa always wanted to be a queen. Has been in the presence of kings and queens. Been mistreated by both and then damaged far more in her own home. She’s not suffering anymore and is home but not in a queenly state like she really wants.

Agree. Dany has nothing as a child & only find a sense of self through chasing the Throne. It's obvious that once she gets it, it would never be enough. Just like Dario said "hope it makes you happy" even he knew it wouldn't. On the books Dany only remembers happiness in one of the homes they stayed at with a red door & a lemon tree. She had a simple stable life for a time. But after that she has no reference for normality.

I’d be so much more forgiving if there was some sort of indication that there was still a Bran Stark there, fighting for some of the control that the previous Three-Eyed Raven clearly had. Worse is the fact that Bran’s not just neutral, he says things that are cruel. Sansa wants an explanation of his powers, he brings up her rape (in spite of a multitude of other things to bring up and other ways to say he knows she was raped). Meera comes to say goodbye, clearly emotional, and he undermines everything she did for him. The only relief from robo-Bran is him being an utter asshole._ *- TURRLE PACED*

Bran's training was obviously rushed and he was a CHILD. I can't remember if the books confirm it yet but isn't the 3 eyed raven Bryden Blackfire? He was one of the smartest & most powerful characters in lore and an ADULT when he becomes the 3 eyed raven and had at least DECADES to master those powers. Plus who says the 3 eyed raven's "persona" is anything but a ploy put on just to make it's next subject/victim comfortable? Bran probably could "fake" a role like Arya as a faceless man can, but he either isn't ready & is simply trying to just contain all the information in history without going fully insane or he has calculated being aloof & cold will HELP people understand and let "Bran" go as well as depict he is more capable & mature vs just a cripple kid.

I know Dany’s brother Viserys was a creep at the end there, but after the death of their father (The Mad King) and of their mother during Dany’s birth, he had been taking care of his sister. He had to beg in the streets for food and a place to stay for them both. Eventually people called him The Beggar King and he became bitter and resentful of Dany. Viserys was a child (about 7 y.o.) when his mother died giving birth to Dany; they both were protected by a Knight loyal to the Targaryen family. They had lost all their riches, they even sold their mother's crown, but they never literally begged in the streets. During several years their protector Knight took care of them, and some rich people in Essos provided them with a home and food and clothing, as we saw they were with Illyrio Mopatis at the beginning of season 1. Viserys was called the Beggar King because he didn't really have anytjing but his claim to the Iron Throne, but there were people providing for them because of their Targaryen name, anyways. And yes, he did teach Dany everything about Westeros that he knew, and sort of took care of her,

I would say Watchers on the Wall, Hardhome and Spoils of war are the best battle sequences. Battle of blackwater was probably the best in terms of storytelling, same with watchers on the wall, but blackwater did not have this level of cinematography, directing, choreography and CGI (apart from the wildfire explosion which was fantastic). I think you guys missed something from many seasons back. "CHAOS IS A LADDER" is littlefinger's epic line! LF said it to Varys. Now Bran repeated it to him. Bran been watching alright. And one of the guards at the gates when Arya came back is the metal dude from Stranger Things!

39:38 interesting take, in book 2, when dany is about to name her dragons, she said this: "The cream-and-gold I call Viserion. Viserys was cruel and weak and frightened, yet he was my brother still. His dragon will do what he could not.". ironically, Viserion is the sweetest and kindest of the 3 dragons

What were they exactly smoking when they thought about letting a 4'8 girl defeat a 6'3 woman in a sword fight? Especially when we never saw Arya training with swords in the entirety of her trip to The House of Black and White, the only time in the series where she learns "swordplay" was when she was being taught dancing in season 1, and it wasn't even real training, there's no chance that she remembers any of it or that it helped her defeat Brienne in season 7. The scene is most cringe-worthy, not only did it feel like cheap fan service (showing off Super Ninja Assassin Arya's fighting skills) and an opportunity to plant an inside joke ("Who taught you?" - "No one"), it felt painfully out of character! It starts promising enough, with Arya telling Pod that a smart person would not directly fight somebody like Brienne in the first place - just as you'd expect from a Super Ninja Assassin trained in stealth and subterfuge (think Jaqen in S2). But the next second she throws her own advice right out the window and challenges Brienne. It makes little to no sense. Being perceived as just a small girl is an asset for Arya, it's part of the subterfuge. Yet here she is, showing off her amazing fighting skills in a more or less public venue. But hey, fans love kickass Arya, so let's give the fans kickass Arya... I like Arya but I don't think this show needs a super hero of that kind (fvcking around with face disguises is far more interesting). It also considerably cheapens Brienne as a character, she beat The Hound and the much quicker Loras for fvck sake!

they were smoking "subverting expectations and promote arya to girlboss", Season 7 is deeply flawed and the cracks are showing. they can't write stories like GRRM can, so they went with the typical hollywood action and ignored logic. it went downhill in Season 5, when they chose to ignore 90% of Book 4&5 and do there own thing, Season 6 is also full of logic errors and hollywood action but the flaws are really showing in Season 7 & 8

I quit cold after ~15 years of smoking daily. Smoked every day of that (and I'm not opposed to having a cig or a few on some social occasions), but decided I ought to quit 'being a smoker' and just... Did it. I was tired of thinking of it as something I didn't have control over, so I didn't bother replacing the pack when it ran out. Moved on. You can too. I recommend also not bothering to 'count the time since you quit', because there's really no reason to bother doing that. I lost track of when it was about 3 months after I quit because it just wasn't a part of my life anymore, so why would I? Life moved on. Congratulations on the start of a new chapter for yourself 😉

I used to be a smoker too. The first 4 or 5 days really suck, but it gets better and easier as you get further down the road. I agree with the other commenter to not really bother keeping track of the time since you quit.. it doesn't really help anything, and is putting focus on that last cig. Better to keep yourself busy and/or distracted to think about it as little as possible. It also helped me to be stocked up on (non-alcoholic) drinks that I like and some snacks to get me over the hump of the first week or two. Good luck, you can do it!

Arya and Sansa never liked each other in first place. They are still family tho, they still love each other as family, but like... affection towards each other, not really. Arya hated Sanse since she saw her smiling before Ned's execution. Sansa learned from King's Landing politics, her life teachers are Cersei, Littlefinger, even Ramsay to some extent, she is the "player", the ruler, the manipulator. Arya learned on the road from Jaqen, the Hound, from the Faceless Men, she is the killer. It's their "spoils of war", just as much as the loot train Dany cleverly destroyed. smart words about Littlefinger from Spartan, it's easy to miss, but it's truly "small man in the big game", and his interaction with raven-Bran is a man who thinks he is clever with his schemes to work out a future for him talking to an actual God-like being who actually can see future, past and present

15:44, Spartan comments about "what it must be like to be surrounded by family again" -- Gosh, think about it. These actors _literally have not been on screen together since they were children, IN. THE. FIRST. SEASON?_ Further, for a lot of these young actors, Game of Thrones was basically their first serious gig if not their literal first job. They basically grew up on this show together, playing siblings separated by war, _with each individual's performance shot separately from each other, in completely different locations around the world!_ No character interaction between them for _yeeeears!_ This 'reunion' probably means a lot for them! e: Awe! Can you imagine Jaimes PTSD seeing people burning? Seeing both sides I can’t blame anyone against Dany. Probably fave episode for me. It was beautiful. I don’t agree burning a father and son together, and ruling through fear (although she doesn’t have any other choice here In Westeros - which is why I think she should have just ruled over Essos)

It was the father's choice. If a captured POW chooses to die that's on them. Ned Stark chopped a man's head off, calling him "a madman" rather than listen to him. Jon Snow hung a child and Theon Greyjoy brutally hacked off Ser Rodricks head but an instant death by dragonfire is now beyond the pale for some reason...

@@noneofyourbeeswax01 literally not one person talked about how they die specifically. Killing a father and son TOGETHER as a show of force is wrong no matter who does it. Ned had beheaded someone who broke an oath, Jon snow hung a child who betrayed him as well and killed him. Dany burned a father and son just so the others would bend the knee- spot the difference. (You all HAVE to stop playing favorites because then that’s how you read all these comments with a bias and defensive view)

@@LS13. So Ned Stark was wrong to kill people in "a show of force" when he killed Iron Islanders or loyal Kingsguard who were only doing their duty when Robert and Ned rebelled against the rightful King? Of course not because it's war. And the Tarlys were prisoners of war who, like the Knight in Monty Python, were to arrogant to accept they'd been beaten and instead rejected all other options and _chose_ suicide. And it makes even less sense given that Tarly already chose surrender to a usurper when he accepted a pardon from Robert because he had been fighting _for the Targaryens! Perhaps Randyll Tarly just couldn't take being beaten by a girl.

The whole Jaime galloping towards Dany scene exemplifies GOT starting to focus more on creating epic scenes that defy logic in the later seasons. The horse is galloping in the same water where moments later he is shown as drowning. Must be quite the drop off.
