"Only a fool would meet the Dothraki in an open field" - Robert Baratheon. Even without a Dragon, the Dothraki alone would've given Cercei's army a hell of a fight. They ride better than any westerosi knight, their bows are bigger than those used in the seven kingdoms and above all, they're fearless. They fight because it's in their blood. Dothraki are a warrior folk after all. Robert knew that. He would've never even played with the idea of facing them the way Jamie did.

No the main and original dragon pit is on dragonstone. It’s built upon a volcano, so always made more sense why the dragons stayed there. They like the heat. That’s why whenever a dragons rider died, they mostly (some exceptions) returned to the Dragon pit on dragonstone. Kings landing dragon pit was only used when the rider lived in Kings landing

The one on Dragonstone was a natural cavern in the mountain. They built an entryway/access point to it with a deck where they could more easily mount their dragons, but the part where the dragons live/roost/nest is a natural cavern.

Jaime going after Dany at the end might be one of my Favorite Jaime moments. The balls that it took to do that. And to finally see him as warrior, something we had not seen since Season 2 was prettt exhilarating. BTW I'm wondering if Igly read the comments because many of us had said at the time that what Jaime said to Edmure was to scare him. He wanted to negotiate with Edmure but Edmure just wanted to see Jaime as a villain so Jaime was like "I'm ready to throw your child to the Wall and every Tully that was existed cause I want to return to Cersei". But it was basically psychological warfare. It's a strategy that worked, the Lannisters got the castle without loss of life.

In defense of Tyrion, when he was hand of the king in King's Landing, he was always going against people that weren't anywhere near as intelligent as him and also didn't know him, but now he's serving Danery he's now going directly against Cersei, who is arguably as smart as him and knows how he thinks, so he's going to have a much more difficult time now that he's on the other side.
@orphanedhanyou2 ай бұрын
Agree. He literally says he likes the game because he wins against dumb people and bad people. Clever isn't battle strategist. Even then no one watches the episodes unfold and think the plans sound bad. You don't know what you don't know until we see Cersei's study of Tywins teachings was not just her sucking up - she took every word to heart & because she is more ruthless and evil she is willing to do worse things to win. Tyrion did not listen and learn from his dad in the same way (which probably wasnt his fault though I can't imagine Tywin denying him or Jaime more time learning how to keep Lannisters in power).
@bill.godwin-austen2 ай бұрын
Dragonstone doesn't have a "Dragon pit" as such... it has a cavern in the "Dragon mount" (the volcanic mountain that comprises a large part of the island of Dragonstone) where the dragons roost and nest. That was where the "dragonseeds" were presented to Vermithor, and where Daemon had gone to retrieve the clutch of dragon eggs.

This whole episode Baelish is like wtf. Arya is not something he can easily manipulate and she is more than capable of violence. Bran is...well Bran cant really be manipulated because he wants nothing and the guy is throwing his own lines back at him out ow nowhere and just outright confusing him. The Stark kids have been on a separate but very different journey and all of them have arrived at the same place but neither of them wants anything he can offer lol. As much as I like this episode ( when Drogon appears above the charging Dothraki is really epic ) I just cant forgive those twats for skipping over all the important things. I fell in love with this show for the great dialogues and character moments not the spectacle. Though its great I would be happy to trade it away for more scenes between Jon and Sansa, Jon and Bran, really any interaction between the Stark children. Just let them talk a little. Igli's comment about kill stealing made me laugh out lol :)

@orphanedhanyou2 ай бұрын
It's wasted on so many. If it's not directly spelled out on screen REPEATEDLY people can't figure out the simplest of concepts. Example Blake & the Nymeria scene being "pointless" because I guess he and so many wanted Arya to find Nymeria and she suddenly become a tame wolf which would directly contradict Arya's story arc. Arya learns a lesson that her whole life she hates people asking and expecting her to be a lady.... but she did the same thing to her wild just now! That self realization is going to help her going forward when a very comfortable/easy/intriguing offer will be made & she has to be able to say while that offer is so great in so many ways....its not her and she can't compromise that. Not for security, not for love.

So many hate the end with Jaime but my husband loves medieval armor and weapons - you CAN swim in armor. Its not easy. But it's not as heavy as you would think. He says it's perfectly plausible Jaime couldn't gotten out ALONE so he def could have with Bron. Think about it this way. Jaime is healthy & lean. Does his armor plus him weigh more than Sam? How could Sam get out of the river then? But no one would question that. People complaining really have never been in a river before. Not all shoreline is shallow. Grew up on a river & one side was shallow & had a bank in a few spots but all other edges were super deep & straight drop offs, no bank just cliff. (And surprise the cgi darkness fade out is too just add doubt if he survived or not OR could even be tied to Jaime losing consciousness/air like blue the screen went black when Tyrion was nearly drowned by the Stone Men. We never had a scene literally from a non wolf characters eyes but it was just for dramatic effect.)
