Thanks, spamming jump helps recover tight turns. Finally done after several tries. Between the stupid pedestrians, the low fps and the wonky driving controls, it certainly was a challenge.

It has been more than a decade since I played this game. Yet I can remember all of the corners that messed me up in this race like it was yesterday.

This is so so so hard. Thanks for the vid. I got 2:07 a few days ago and gave up.

I came very close to giving up but it was pretty much the only thing standing between me and a platinum so I didn’t consider it an option. This race sucked though, what you’re seeing here is probably something like attempt 50 lol

Yeah this mission was super rough, took me roughly 75 or more tries to finally get a gold medal in a span of 2 hours. I was able to get a 2:04:900. :)

Naughty Dog are masochists. I gladly used the infinite orbs cheat to bypass some of those ridiculous challenges to get the platinum in Jak 2 ans Jak 3

Couldn't even bring myself to play more of The Last of Us PS4 after beating the game, because the platinum requires the living death of grinding that horrible online mode, same for Uncharted 4, which some co-op challenges are literally impossible

Video did nothing but make me more angry how can i not hit a single wall and drive perfectly but only get 2:07 yet you can hit the wall and lose 2 seconds of time and still get 2:04
@JakvsMetalheads9997 ай бұрын
Gotta be going as fast as possible without totally blowing out and crashing. I guess if you've got enough speed and you're far enough ahead, hitting a wall or two might not necessarily doom you, whereas if you've got a perfect run yet you've sacrificed too much speed for the control, you won't make it. Doing the repeated hops helps to take the corners smoothly without losing speed as far as I remember (I have *not* repeated this crap since I recorded this), other than that, for me at least it was down to luck lol - like I said in another comment, I just happened to pull 2:04 here after an ungodly number of attempts over the course of hours lol

@@alexisaguirrevazquez7900 Most of its not too bad. Finish the game, get all the skull gems, you can look up where all the precursor orbs are - there’s only like one or two places in the game where you can’t go back if you miss one, maybe just the Metalhead Nest at the end. The hardest parts are the miscellaneous challenges - the hoverboard game, Onin’s game, the races obviously, the gun courses, and some of the trials you get from Torn at the kiosks around the city. Really though none of them gave me too much trouble aside from a couple of the races and the gun courses. I’ve gotten harder platinum’s I’d say. I’d even argue that some of the desert races, the satellite minigame, Pac-Daxter and the wave concussor gun course in Jak 3 were all much harder than Jak 2’s hardest challenges, despite the game being easier overall. Because of that I’d actually call 3 the harder platinum, at least in my opinion.

@@JakvsMetalheads999 I agree, Jak 3's gun courses were harder than 2's even when using cleats in both of them. The races weren't bad for me because I've already played Jak 2 for years before deciding to go for the platinum, so I'm already used to it. Though the game kicked my ass when I first started, so I'm sure of I started going for the platinum then, it'd be a different story.
