I don’t think the small insecure Jake part steps on the toes of the bleeding out bit at all! I think the fact that insecure Jake pops up even *during* amir’s bleeding bit is really funny, because I feel like it kind of shows how Jake is desensitized and used to Amir hurting or seriously injuring himself as a result of his own dumbness and indigence!😂 Jake being able to focus on something else while something so seemingly extreme is happening communicates “this is not an abnormal situation for amir to find himself in, per his antics”. I thought that layer made it even funnier (especially since it’s SO much blood, it’s borderline body horror-it’s like: how could Jake possibly be not be phased?? What has happened in the past that could cause this to be unremarkable?? Amir must be crazy!) 😂 It’s also kinda shows how super insecure that insecure Jake really IS, because when he is feeling insecure he is so concerned and worried about himself he can’t-and doesn’t-care about anything else 😂 Anyway, I’m so sorry I didn’t mean for this to sound like some kind of stupid analysis or anything; obviously they know far far better than I do about writing and their own show lol, I’m hella dumb, I was just excited to share how funny I always found that part! 💕
