Jake Owen - East Bound and Down ft. The Schwab Firebird (Official Music Video)

Nothing like combining a few of my favorites together…music, classic cars, and golf. Had way too much fun teaming up with Charles Schwab to cover and make a video of Jerry Reed’s massive hit East Bound and Down. We even had Jerry’s grandson playing drums!
We chose this nostalgic song to celebrate the prize that will be awarded to this year's Charles Schwab Challenge winner - a '79 Schwab Firebird - built to honor the year that Schwab went all-in on technology.
The Charles Schwab Challenge is the longest-running event on The PGA TOUR to be played in the same location. It is played at Colonial Country Club in Texas every Memorial Day weekend.

That is one beautiful car. Brings back so many memories of watching Smokey and the Bandit. My parents had a Trans Am that was black with gold just like the one in the movie. The car was in a shop when it caught fire, so we lost the car.

I still love the movie to this day! Gosh I loved driving my cousin's TA back then, I'd wash it just to get to drive it and felt like the coolest girl in town. this car is a beauty! But it was sweet to see a black TA take over at the end, I miss fun movies like then. Nice job Jake, love to see younger artists play the old school music today and seem to totally enjoy the chance!
