I live in East London next to the A road close to Canary Wharf, all day and night, even in the early hours of the morning all you can hear are cars driving by, sirens etc. it becomes normal after a while, so much so that i dont think i could live anywhere other than the city, the noise becomes soothing in an odd sense.

Technoguy3 No, the licence is to the house/flat. So you buy one for your house and then you can have as many TV's and devices as you like to watch live TV on. The cost depends on many factors e.g pensioners get it for free. Its normally around £145 a year

+KarimsCorner This was recorded in August 2015 so yeah a big delay. The delay is caused by the fact that he posts once a week only and, especially during the run up to his exams, his recordings may be 2 or 3 times a week sometimes more, so the delay stretches out to the 6 months we have now.

Don't bother with a tv license, just watch 'catch up' tv on bbc iplayer and itv player etc. Just don't watch anything which is being broadcast at the time. You need to make a declaration (you can do this on their website) to the licensing people that you don't watch live tv and don't have a television which could receive a signal. I do this and it's so much more convenient to watch programmes at a time that suits me rather than when they're broadcast even though it is on a smaller screen.
