Hello The Runner. I got a news about Dennis Kimeto finished Dubai Marathon in 13th position. Please do a video on Dennis Kimeto after several years of not hearing from him . People might even think he has retired.

Historically many middle distance runners, (eg. Peter Snell, John Walker, Seb Coe, etc), all ran xcross. yes they won national titles etc but never participated in world events to a significant level. However, the xcross was an inportant part of their training for the middle distance strength. Similarly look at Magnus's traing. The level of shorter intervals. 400m, upto 1200 meters. Similarly it is all designed to that he has the speed when rrequired. The Xcross is for strength i.e. to be there with 300m to go. The shorter distances so that when he does kick he has the speed. I suggest that this is why he is so hard to beat. Your choice do I go hard and ttry to be stronger or do I try to be faster over the last 200m. It's difficult and risky whatever you try. However, the Olympics did show that Jacob is vunerable in the situation where there are multiple compettitors who he has to keep and eye. Cole is a very good runner but not at the same level as Jacob or Josh. He won in part due to the fact that both Jacob and Josh were wacthing each other and Cole basically got a free ride. It has happened before and will undoubtly happen again. All credit to Cole but I usuepect he will slowly fade into obsurity as he is now on their radar and they and others will not make that mistake again. As several olympic stars have said "I'd rather have an Olympic Gold than a world record; You can take a world record but you cannot take the Olympic God from me" So all credit to Cole
