The interesting thing about the NCAA basketball is that the clock runs continually, except after it goes into overtime, where it is stopped after a basket is made and before it is thrown in again. Had that not been the case, the basket at the end may have been in question. A friend of mine who is a sports fanatic thought this was wrong until we looked it up.

Not for a few years if he can't rebound, play better defense and develop better handles. He will get a shot at the NBA. He won't become a major player until he proves to be a multiple dimension player. Sorry, but all 4 of Baylor's guards out played him. I don't think he got a single rebound or danced and got around their guards except on a fast break or a missed shot. His game needs work. His age may buy him some time to improve. College ball is not pro ball. He is no Kobe, Chris Paul, Kyrie Irving or even a Javion Mitchell or a Butler. Both better guards by a long shot. That was proof in the championship game. He couldn't stay with those guys period! All the sports analyst can't be wrong. He's not NBA ready. Stay in school Jalen for at minimum another year. There are too many better guards out there right now.

"A controversial charge call with one second remaining in regulation had UCLA fans furious at Lucas Oil Stadium. Bruins Johnny Juzang was driving to the lane with the score tied at 81 and appeared to draw contact from Gonzaga defenders, but Drew Timme drew a charge call." I saw the play from different screen angles. Johnny went to his left around Drew. In one frame you can see both Johnny's shoulders and the ball past Drew. Drew looked like he put his hand on Johnny's right shoulder and pushed off to make it look like he was pushed. Tough call for the refs.. Any given day the call or score could have gone a different way. I have coached many sports for many years. Know you guys are winners. But more important you did your best. Can't wait till next season.

Jalen appears to be a great young guy who hit a lucky shot that won a tight game. It's not unheard of. It's happened often. The game with Baylor exposed some major weaknesses in his total game. Every guard on Baylor's team outplayed him. They were all faster, stronger, better shooters and had better ball handling skills. He is not ready for the NBA by any stretch of the imagination. He would be better served by not listening to the hype and remaining in school. He needs work on being a multi dimensional player. Right now he is not. Baylor exposed that. Baylor exposed Gonzaga's player's weaknesses. If anyone is special or has that "it" factor is all 9 players on Baylor's team. They will go down as one of the best offensive and defensive teams in NCAA history. Suggs would have been better suited to have watched Baylor games instead of that one shot. He's a nice kid but there are many players that are just better. Young man please stay in school. He'll never be a star in the NBA without a lot more work on his game. No hate or disrespect but I believe he is being exploited and saying he is NBA ready is doing him a disservice. If you have that much trouble beating a 11th seed team, while playing your best ball, is telling. The pros are just that, pros. He's not prepared to play at that level.
