I have already made brown stew chicken, plantains and curry chicken. love jamaican food. it was big in Philadelphia. now I am in Texas and I miss it sooo much. my Pastor is jamaican and he goes to the Island hut here, it's pretty good.

Whilst I'm sure this tastes delicious, Ackee is plentiful and probably so much cheaper in Jamaica. Now I can't recall the currency in JA but I think it's probably around $4 to £1. A tin of ackee costs about £5-6!!!!! So I can't afford to blend this lovely fruit. I will stick to my ackee and saltfish with fried dumplings! xxxxx

+Claire Jasmine Taylor we only buy tin Ackee on sale. Still, cheaper where we live than in the UK. Try it when you get ackee on sale sometime. You'll love it!
