I made this recipe tonight for dinner and it is goooooood 😍 I added in a can of butter beans to the pot before letting the chicken cook covered for about 45-55 minutes. It’s tender and juicy and just falls off the bone 😩 Lord this is so good. I served it with rice and peas and salad also. Such an easy recipe that tastes like it was very hard to make!

Its so annoying when Caribbean people are always bickering about whose food tastes better and whatever else... seriously GROW UP. If you're Jamaican OBVIOUSLY you'll have a preference to Jamaican food. If you're Trinidadian you'll be biased toward Trini food ...Caribbean food is great period. Stop trying to make your taste preference a unanimous opinion of someone's culture.

Strange: I regard this as healthy competition and confidence in oneself and culture. The proof is always in the pudding regarding who can bring home more bacon, meaning - who can procure the most emolument from their craft.

All West Indian foods taste good. And that goes for Peuricans and Domincans. They are west Indian too, whether they like it or not.

Strange_Fruit777 Lol This is so true. My family is Trini, so I grew hearing how Jamaicans didn't know how to properly cook or season their food. As I've gotten older, I've since learned that we cook very similar, but at it's core, it's all about preference. This is an awesome, straight-forward brown stew chicken recipe.
