I have been making Ms. Fay's Brown stew chicken for several years now and to this day is the BEST recipe I have ever done. I do add a bit a jerk seasoning and extra ketchup just to go with our taste. We like a bit spicier and more intense flavor but no matter what you add, her version is the easiest and tastiest! Thank you!

I made this recipe tonight for dinner and it is goooooood 😍 I added in a can of butter beans to the pot before letting the chicken cook covered for about 45-55 minutes. It’s tender and juicy and just falls off the bone 😩 Lord this is so good. I served it with rice and peas and salad also. Such an easy recipe that tastes like it was very hard to make!

Its so annoying when Caribbean people are always bickering about whose food tastes better and whatever else... seriously GROW UP. If you're Jamaican OBVIOUSLY you'll have a preference to Jamaican food. If you're Trinidadian you'll be biased toward Trini food ...Caribbean food is great period. As I've gotten older, I've since learned that we cook very similar, but at it's core, it's all about preference. This is an awesome, straight-forward brown stew chicken recipe.
