After this performance he went to the old Atlantic records studio at what is now a Trump hotel on Columbus Circle. He recorded a duet with an artist who had waited years to do it. Then he went to the Red Parrot on 57th and 11th and gave a private concert for around 100 people. I was there for all of it and it was amazing.
