He's right. Trump underpolls by 4 on average - in some swing states like WI and MI he was undercounted by 8-12 points. This was in 2016 *AND* 2020 both consistently.

I agree that it's best to be cautious, although I think it's a different dynamic in 24. Dems underpolled in 22, and there seems to be more Trump fatigue now. But even with all that most of the swing states are too tight. PA in particular concerns me.

I agree with James Carville. However, I have no indication right now that the Harris/Walz campaign is acting like they're over-confident. Rather, they're acting like they're underdogs. Personally, I won't be confident until Harris is besting Trump by, let's say, 52%+/47%- nationally and in MI, WI & PA. As Coach Walz is apt to say, "We run the play through the whistle."
