Comey , weeks before the election and totally not in line with policy of the FBI ‘s practice of not interfering with elections 12 weeks before such election , suddenly announced that new and serious facts came to light regarding potential criminal behaviour of Clinton . 48 hours later , Comey said that the facts were actually not new but the same as what was already investigated and that nothing warranted criminal charges . Shameful . It was a political intervention . Period . Then later , he tried to be a saint and criticize trump . Wrote a book that nobody read .

I was completely stumped when Americans elected this guy as president. South Africans elected a disastrous Jacob Zuma, who almost collapsed the country's economy, seriously weakened national security, democratic institutions and the rule of law in the country. Trump was to America what Zuma was to South Africa, and I still have trouble with how democracy sometimes leads to such dreadful outcomes.
