I knew his theatre arts professor in Ann Arbor Michigan. Her name was Claribel Halstead. She was my wife’s great aunt. She used to talk about how shy and soft spoken he was, until he had a part on stage and then he had this big booming voice that we all know. He will be missed by generations of people.

I love Star Wars so much but I think the passing of Mufasa hurts more. That character felt most like James and hearing him talk to Simba almost makes me want to cry right now. I’m 25 and as I get older loss becomes increasingly more present but it’s even more sad to me when I can hear this voice we have trapped on this earth that I grew up with. That probably helped me sleep as a child. That now that voice is both here forever and also will never speak again is wild to me. As much as people talk about how great he was as the voice of Darth Vader.... My favorite role he did as a villain comes from The Flight of Dragons. Mr Jones plays the villain of the story and the technology for voice over was rough, he still delivered the most chilling lines as Omedon. Thank you for all you have done sir.
