I think he could get in, but probably in the later years like we’ve seen many linebackers recently. But doesn’t him any less a hall of famer. As for the rest of y’all, some things you just can’t measure. Stats, longevity of his prime, comparison to other legends at the time, that doesn’t state how good he really was. It’s impact, his team and many others. I once heard that ‘to be in the Hall you have to ask if you could write the story of the NFL without mentioning this person’. If that’s a criteria I don’t think you could. One of the best defensive players on one of the best defensive franchises, the Super Bowl pick 6, the fact that anyone in the AFC North would remember how he played, etc. You at least have to consider him for the Hall.

What an amazing story. James Harrison is a legend, not only in Steelers fame but also the whole league since its inception. He was called 'the Beast' for a reason. His incredible strength and physique was of a nature that demanded respect and it didn't come easy. His play on the field is accentuated by the number of sacks and that amazing interception and run that upended NFL records. His previous disappointments and cuts only fueled the fire within. Here we have a man that should be a mentor to all who have faced adversity, only to emerge even stronger through discipline and hard work. God bless you sir!!!
